EE retentions Sim Only 6GB unlimited minutes and texs £9.99 a month

36
Found 27th Nov 2017
I'm an existing EE customer out of contract and was able to secure this deal.

6GB data
Unlimited minutes and texts
12 month contract
£9.99 per month

It's a price match of the plus.net offer. I did so by calling 150 and selecting the option "Thinking of leaving"

I hope this helps.

I couldn’t get any sort of deal, I was told they couldn’t compete and didn’t want my business! Even gave me a code to leave!

I got 20gb for £11.99 last week, it's been posted here before. Bt match. Retention team
Does it go back to the "normal" price after 12 months?
Thanks, l will give this a try later, like many on here I couldn't get the £11.99 deal last week despite trying

Same here. Not a very good business ethic is it

I was on unlimited mins and text with 4GB data was paying £8.03 a month on a 12 month contract, my contract ended last month I thought the price would revert back to £23.99 a month but no it’s gone to a pay monthly now so being charged £8 a month now
Average deal, but voting Cold as retentions team are so hit and miss.

Good question. I don't know but hope someone else can answer it.

I already had my pac code from an earlier call a few days back.

I sacrificed my friends and family 30% discount to take up this offer. Friends and family was like a noose around my neck, they never offered anything competitive.

I'll be buying my phone outright from now on.

Well about a month ago retentions offered a deal matching Virgin but after questioning them they confirmed after 12 months it would go back to their normal price (over 3x as much) so I declined.

Yeah, I gave EE a bell after I saw the virgin offer... I think it all depends on the effort of the agent you get, as they gave me the same deal but I got 8GB rather than 6...
Worked for me!

I'm on sim only with 3 weeks left on my contract and they matched the PlusNet deal @ £9.99

Bit shocked at how easy it is after banging my head against the wall last week with the £11.99 offer.
I ordered the new Iphone X from apple sim free. Upgraded my old sim only deal that was £20 p/m for 10 Gb data etc.
Phoned EE to upgrade my sim package. They gave me the £41.99 p/m deal for £24.99 p/m. This was for 30gb data unlimited mins/texts on the 4gee max plan. Although only 4gee max is available in certain locations, I managed to get over 90mpbs not far from me and this was not a big city. Also get the BT sport app for the full 12 month term.

hope this helps.

Don't want to annoy you but used live chat after being unsuccessful in getting a deal in EE store and on phone got same deal as you for £14.99 a month you could call them or use live chat to try and get a new deal if you haven't had deal more than 14 days...
I did virgin today said I wanna match the plusnet deal n they did 6gb data 2500 mins n texts rollover + roaming AND 30 day rolling contract
7GB/Ultd/Ultd on O2 for a pound more if anyone has a better signal with them. Unlikely, but maybe
What is this mythical £11.99 people speak of? I’m on 4gee max 20gb at £15 but wouldn’t mind the extra £3 off per month

U guys are lucky, I was fobbed off...so left EE
Thanks op, I just called and spoke to retentions and they asked why I wanted to leave. Mentioned the PlusNet offer and they matched it straight away. Better than my old retention deal of 2GB for £10.44 a month.
I was offered this yesterday and took them up on it. I was previously on 15gig a month UL txts/Messages however i work abroad so use no data whilst in Kazakhstan.

Account shows monthly payment as being £22 with 5gig allowance, but i am told discounts will be applied to bring it down and give me the extra gig... il give them a call closer to the end of the cooling off period though, to make sure i am definitely on the right plan!

If you check on the app/web site at the Plan/Add-on section you will see a 'See your add-ons' and that will show your fixed add-ons, i.e Loyalty amounts and extra 1 GB data.

Call. They put it through as 2GB + 5GB Bolt-on.
I phoned today and got this deal.

I was paying £17, so I simply phoned and asked for a PAC code, saying I had a better deal. I pointed out that PlusNet were offering 6GB+everything unlimited on the EE network. Operator couldn't argue and immediately offered to match it (albeit on a 12 month contract).

Don't mean to rub salt in the wounds but I was previously on a 20gb/£20. With the virgin unlimited deal over the weekend I pressed EE and they eventually offered me 30gb max for £17.99 and free BT sport for 12months. Just had a text in the past fee mins to 'register for my £100 EE card' too which I didn't realise. Result!

Any chance you can tell me what you asked for, and your total monthly cost? Just tried both on phone and web chat - neither would give the 2gb+5gb for a reasonable price (only offered the 6gb for £16 which is advertised on their website).
what download speeds do you get with EE?
Got this today - I think it’s price matched virgin. I have an email address of someone at EE who will offer this if anyone’s interested

Can answer you now I've finally got around and just signed to this deal, Been with EE many years and never had any increases apart from RPI, thought I was on a reasonable plan (2GB/unlim/unlim, £13.76).

He said new contracts now are loyalty discounted for length of contract so this will go up to £23.99 after a year. Suggested to ring back and see what's around then. Of course someone will be along in a minute to say they aren't subject to this but thought it would be nice to put that info here just so people can be aware (even though this says 5GB it is actually 6GB as there is 1GB free data in the add-ons section).

  • £10.00 Loyalty

Good to know thanks for sharing.

Unfortunately this will catch many out who only realise after a hefty increase in cost on month 13 but I'm guessing EE already thought of that..
Agreed. I suppose as it's a match they can tart it up as goodwill and make it time-limited. The matched Plusnet deal is 30 day rolling contract. If you signed up to an EE headline prices I expect it would not go up after the contract term. The catch being none of the deals on the EE website are much cop compared to others. Maybe that's their game.
