I'm probably not alone in trying to hold out for the best Black Friday deals but got weak... However, I think it paid off.
I phoned EE directly after looking on their website and found very little to get excited about.
I was previously on T-Mobile Sim only for £11.00 pcm which I was happy with, however, I have a shiny new
Samsung S8 with 8Gb, unlimited mins and texts arriving tomorrow. (It includes BT sports aswell and international roaming to Canada and US plus Europe).
It was a bizarre £6.98 up-front and £30.99 per month.
I quoted the Mobiles.co.uk deal listed here for £25 upfront and £29 per month as a comparison and after first offering 3Gb came back with this deal of 8Gb.
I'm happy, so I hope someone else can use this as a target to negotiate to.
Online Tesco Mobile do 6Gb and unlimited for £46.44, carphonewarehouse have O2 for £29 + £100 up-front and Virgin are £40 for a similar tariff. There is nothing on the EE website that comes close. (Below are the other websites).
Good luck all.....

It also comes with the BT sports if you are interested.
Who did you actually get this price with then? EE direct?
I phoned EE direct. I said I was looking for a better phone and asked for the Samsung S8 for £29 per month. The call taker choked a little and we finally settled on £31 + £7 upfront.
"If it doubt do nout".
It's 24 months too.
I would have gone for the O2 deal as that is the cheapest and most available, but the haggling with EE worked.
O2 is patchy in my area but EE didn't know that ;0)
No joy for me, last month of contract quoted the deal best they could offer was £170 for handset and £37 a month with 15GB of data. Unsure if he was trying to call my bluff but it didn’t work, got off the phone and took the o2 deal
Still wouldn’t of gone for that either tbh that would of been a £10 a month bump on top what I’m already payingwhich makes it £120 extra over the year or £240 over 24 month contract. Think they could do better don’t see how they can’t match a third party either
Whoops, it was actually £33.99 / month, typo. Yeah it's a bit more than the original deal but I wanted to stay with EE and that's the best they could do. My old S7 is knackered and I was tied in for the 4 months. Got a reduced contract, more data and a better phone. All because of the leverage offered by this mobiles.co.uk deal .
I hate these "selective" deals
