Found 30th Mar 2016
Discounted from £34.99 per month listed until 14/04/2016. Just upgraded my sim only contract to this over the phone so quite a good deal compared to EE's other SIM only contracts at present.

Edit for more info and clarification:

This is a Mobile SIM for 12 months and an 'EE Extra' plan so you get Unlimited Minutes/Texts along with the 16GB data and anything included with the Extra plan (double speed, use minutes/texts in EU etc.)

TopCashback now £52.50.

Not a bad deal.
Might be worth stating the mins/text allowance or is the just a data sim?
Extra Plan - double speed 4G
16 GB data
Unlimited text messages
Unlimited minutes
12 months plan
Use your minutes and texts in the EU
Now £19.99 (Was £34.99)

Hurry offer ends 14th April 2016
This sounds pretty good to me. There is also a decent amount of Quidco I think..? I'll have to check later.
Good deal. £3 less than their parent company top BT mobile deal. 4GB less data but it's twice as fast as BT Mobile and EE also allows tethering.

Can't find anything about the data side of things in this respect. I presume data is also allowed to be used in the EU as well.

It is, but not out of your allowance.
Got my PAC code from Three following the letter saying end of AYCE for £15. Might take this offer, just over £16 a month with Top Cash Back. Anyone currently on EE can confirm how good reception and coverage is?

I've found them pretty damn good and have been with them 2 years now. They're way ahead in 4G I think and have most transport routes and cities covered.

Instead of asking others for their experience, it's better to grab a free EE PayG, and try yourself at your own frequent locations.
can it be used in an iPad?

I don't see why it wouldn't work but you would be better waiting for another Data SIM deal. Don't know if it's expired but there was a 30 day contract with 25GB data for £15 per month recently.
Damn.. just past the 14 days cooling period with Three after signing up to the £20 per month 12 month contract for AYCE min/text/data and 12gb tethering!
EE have much better speeds and 16gb would have been enough! Argh!

Agree with this, moved from Three to EE but cancelled and went back as signal around North Essex was no better (=poor). Best to test for yourself in the locations you 'll be using it.
almost jumped out of my skin , saw the image of the EE sim and for a split second thought the 100GB data offer was back on

It wasn't last year when I went abroad, only minutes and texts. Data has to be used by purchasing a data bolt on once within your holiday destination at an extra cost.
hmm, tempted. my work have 20% off ee contracts as well.

Been with them for years, but I live in Birmingham but work around the Midlands so 4g signal is good.
Seems to work with NHS discount, making it an even better deal. Which is good since I know it didn't work with Vodafone offers.

id guess you'd have to work for the NHS.

It's an employer discount. Mine is a large insurance firm and we have this with ee and vodafone.

imagine its a corporate discount offered by the phone companies to large enough employers.

you're best to check with your employer, they no doubt will have something internal telling you how to get the discount, whether its a code or a process (with me its ringing a set number and setting the discount up) if they do it.
This or BT sim only at £21 per month?? Decisions decisions.
How are EE with quidco cashbacks? If anything like BT then it's as good as non existent.
The best data i have seen in a whilst with tether and all for £20.

looks good and even better if they are good with quidco cashbacks as other have ask?
on here -

http://shop.ee.co.uk/my-offers/sim-only

this is showing up as -

16GB of 4GEE data

Unlimited minutes & texts

£16.49 a month (was £34.99)
£0 upfront

However, why do these phone companies have to do a credit check?

This is only £16.49 a month and i bet you if you dont pay they will cut you off, so why the credit check, they are not potentially losing anything other than a sim card?

p.s.

for existing customers only so that why its
£16.49

so a relative can get you this at this price then

Apparently it is only available online now. I know you used to be able to get the discount in store. It should be available via the NHS discount website which you should be able to Google. You should then be able to access the discount and get a unique discount code which you can enter on the ee website and obtain the discount. If that doesn't work, contact your workplace or the relative or friend who works for the NHS which then can check with them to then access the discount. If you don't work for the NHS or similar, but the company that you work for has a deal, check with your company about it and hopefully they should be able to send you in the right direction. Hope this helps.

I also thought BT aren't as fast a EE so I tweeted BT and they said that there are the same speed.

Do you have a link ?

No, BT only does standard speed 4G, unless you pay an upgrade of £4 a month if I remember. I'll try and find a link for you.

There we go: http://home.bt.com/tech-gadgets/phones-tablets/bt-mobile-extra-speed-4g-11364037773425

You can purchase it as an add on to have double speed 4G.

I'd say they are credit checking you because

1) they are giving you something (minutes, texts, data) on the basis you will pay for it over 12 months.
2) you can do a lot moer on a contract phone, such as ring premium rate numbers, rack up huge bills. Again, they're wanting to check you're good for your money

the poster mentions its a retentions deal.

im guessing you'll need to access your ee account and check for offers or call them.

if u are a new customer it's £19.99

if u have a contract already (Inc orange or tm) and you want to add a new one for relative etc, u get 10% off the £34.99 on top of the £15 discount, £16.49
BEWARE EE !!!
Some people who bought a 10GB deal last year have only got 2GB and no sign of them getting what the bought.
Phoned them and took out this contract myself, I mentioned I had been with them for 6 years and they were not willing to move on £19.99.

They stated the only way to get it for £16.49 is to get a relative to buy the deal alongside my contract and this will be £16.49 for them only.

So apparently EE website fxxked again.
I/we shouldn't be able to access the 16.49 page.
COLD!!! 16 GIGMEGS isn't enough for me to stream tv while i walk down a busy highstreet and walk across roads.
