EE Sim Only - Unlim Mins/Texts + 50gb Data £24pm or 80gb £27pm - 12 months contract

Hi everyone,

EE’s back with some new sim only offers and have to say it’s probably the cheapest I’ve ever seen from EE. They are currently doing:

ulm minutes and text with 50gb data for £24 (£19.20 w/ 20% discount)
ulm minutes and text with 80gb data for £27 (£21.60 w/ 20% discount)

Check your company to see if they’re offer 20% for EE or if you’re a student then use Unidays to generate a code. Also, if you’re with EE Broadband then you can get extra 5gb of data added to your plan.

Good for anyone where EE has the best coverage/speed in their area. I’ve been comparing EE’s prices to Three’s and could see that Three’s prices are no longer as competitive as they use to be.

You may know me as the one with the £5 unlimited plan with Three, and I’ll be honest, if I was paying anymore than that, I would have moved straight onto this 50gb plan with EE. Three’s coverage (in the areas that I travel to frequently) is pretty bad, either really slow speed or just no service at all. A few of my relatives is with EE and the difference is day and night when compared to Three. I’ll definitely be moving to EE as soon as Three kicks me off the plan or increase my price
Community Updates
I would hold off on EE for now, CEO Marc Allera says given Voda & Three Unlimited it’s not feasible for EE to charge for a 5G premium & it will be focusing on BT/EE Plus converged as a income source.

20GB not 5GB Data Boost is the extra data allowance you're getting if you have broadband from EE

I think that’s only if you’re on a pay monthly handset plan and their max expensive fibre plan. So I think even if you are on EE’s max fibre plan, but you have sim only then you’ll only get 5gb data boost.

I think that’s the main reason, ideal for people who’s out and about a lot. Also means not having to connect to public WiFi and risk security

Do you mean for watching porn then?
20% discount very handy. I use either Health service discounts, Blue Light card or Unidays. Just wish I could get a sim plan from EE for around £10 as I have the international call (rest of the world) for £7.50. Have unlimited data with 3. No other network has such a great value international add-on too the rest of the world.
Why is this cold? Are there any other similar or better deals with EE? I have rubbish O2 and Three reception

Im hoping it gets hotter lol. I did mention the 20% discount in the title but hukd had to review my deal and edit out that bit from the title. Also, I’m currently with Three and yep, EE for me has much better coverage and data speeds. Will be looking to move to EE when Three kicks me off this plan. There’s been sooo many occasions where my friends was on EE and got 20+mbps speed and there’s me with Three on about 1mbps speed

has anybody got any good data deals with EE - I got 32gb for 18.00 a few years ago. Really like EE as I think its slightly better than three but now have an unlimited smarty sim for same price so got to ditch the EE one. Anyone had any joy with retention offers that I can aim for with EE - thanks
100gb plus 2 swappables no speed restrictions £9

Well, I think it's being voted cold because 3 offer much data for less the price. EE and them are being forced to reconsider. Yes, 3 has rubbish network, but if you live in a well covered neighbourhood with some reporting 75MB downloads, it's clearly a no brainer.

Three offer much data for less the price used to be the case. I’ve been doing some research and have found that Three are starting to become a lot like EE. Three has also started selling these 24 months sim only sims which is just ridiculous. Eg, Three has a 30gb ulm min/text plan for £20 and EE currently got a 50gb ulm min/text £24 and most people will be able to get 20% discount making it £19.20. Three used to very competitive with their pricing and data but I’ve found that’s no longer the case.

Vodafone’s unlimited plans is just shambles. Their cheapest unlimited plan caps your speed at 2mbps. And they’re advertising it as a 5g sim. Wonder if we can get Ofcom on the case

That and speed

Wifi in my area gets me 40mb/s but my 4G reaches 100mb/s easily so I use that to download

No cause it is 5g sim and that's cheapest tariff , they have max for £30 / £20 with autocashback.

Look at my comment, I did say it’s their cheapest plan. Their cheapest plan just destroys the whole point of 5g

Not sure what combination of fibre/standard/Essential/Smart/Max plans applies. I get 20GB Data Boost being a Max plan (I kept in effect through retention deal long time ago) and EE Fibre Plus (not Max) with EE TV

- Im currently on 32gb for £18 was hoping to get it down to 15gb for £5 but your deal sounds impressive

How did you twist their arm with that one? The best I could get out of them just now was 10GB for £10 wouldn't even take my work discount due to the offers they had to apply just to get that

I just got 50gb for £18.60 (including 20% off). I find them very hard to negotiate with.

Unless you fight for a deal over at three chat your going to pay over the odds for slow speeds and a terrible deal.
I just bagged myself this morning from unlimited everything £20 contract renew next month to £6 a month that with AYCE 600 minutes/unlimited text had to make a formal complaint to customer relations department.

A work colleague of mine pays only £18 for 100gb data with EE try the live chat.
Phoned them yesterday and got 100gb a month for £20

That’s good what were you on before ?
I managed to get the £35 for 100GB package with 2 swappables for £30 and then an NHS discount applied to that which brought it down to £23.00 per month. They then gave me a £13 unlimited text and minutes SIM with 500mb for £5 (then discounted to £2.40 with NHS discount) which I can share the data with. I have read others have got it cheaper than that but I was quite pleased considering I was paying over £90 per month for an iPhone plan and sharer sim!

shef0072,

Tried to pm you - not working.

Any chance you can get in touch?

Hoping for a guiding hand.

So I went into my local EE shop today and the best SIMO deal they could offer was 20GB for £21... they said any retention offers will be based on someone having purchased a phone based price plan previously (not that I believe him, he claimed Virgin Mobile only have access to 30% of their network)

I easily use 80gb data, from tethering other devices, downloading files games apps etc, streaming videos in highest quality etc.
As i understand this is a limited time offer, anyone know how long this lasts? As i kinda need to delay it a week to when i get paid...
