EE SIMO RETENTION DEAL - MAX PLAN - 40GB DATA, UNLIMITED CALLS & TEXTS - £20/month 12ths / £240

Found 3rd Mar
Just finally got a really good deal in my eyes from EE as a retention deal.

It won't be everyones cup of tea but if you are due to renew then your in luck! Also due to end of Feb being the main time EE do their slight price increase usually, your in the perfect time for no increases then in 12months time you can haggle for another deal as you will be out of contract just as the price potentially might increase again!

Good Luck!

Virgin speeds are a lot slower and the signal strangely isn’t as good as EE.

So yes your using EE, but don’t expect the same speeds or signal as if with EE.

EE are great but after initial agreement, you need to check your bill.

I had to phone them twice, and they reverted to listening to taped conversation between me and the EE sales chap before it was resolved.

Was told by ee they dont do the max plans on any sim only deals anymore where it use to include bt sports for 12 mths, extra 5 countries for roaming, max speed etc...unless ee are telling tales
Pretty decent deal, shame they don't offer max plan for sim only now, seems stupid to me but I guess they're trying to get you to buy a phone and sim.
They told me they no longer do the max plan with sim only contacts.

Virgin don't allow you to tether.

Oh I didn't know that. Thank you for this. I'm currently with 3 but looking to move either to EE or Virgin Media and need a plan at least 25gb but tethering is really important for me.

I'm confused. How can the speed and signal be different to using EEs network . Have you been on both?

I can’t think of a single MVNO where anything is better than the host network other than maybe price.

With the right handset on EE you can access their low frequency 800mhz 4G network. This makes a noticeable difference indoors in areas where it is active which is in a surprising number of areas both urban and rural. I think if you were used to this and went back to an MVNO that runs on EE (which can't access 4G L800 due to no VOLTE) then you could certainly notice a difference!
Sorry to spoil your party switch to Three via topcashback.co.uk and get 100Gb unlt texts calls for £19/month. Works out that after cashback paid. Oe even better threaten EE to move to Three mention them this deal.. See if they will match it.. Job done! 33368237-X9MId.jpg

Both me and my wife are with three and have noticed a considerable poor quality of signal over the past 3 months hence the reason for moving. #payforwhatyouget

I just contacted them, they don't do max plans for sim only, however, for £2 more they will give you max speeds on a regular sim - so I paid £22 and got 40gb and 90mbs speeds - that'll do me nicely.

I experienced less speed and less reception with virgin. When I went EE and enquired why that would be they said virgin only get specific transmitters and specific limited capacity, with EE you get everything.

They offered that to me, but I said the increase was a bit too much. And I said I already had a 3 sim with 30gb - which is true. You could also say Virgin Media, who use EE, are charging £18 for 40gb. I just rejected the first offer and they offered that one instead.
I know virgin media use ee services but if i take virgin mobile will be same ee 🤔
Well EE on the phone were as expected, unaware of this deal... The offered me a worst one than I currently have!? Asked for a PAC code. Would I notice a difference with Virgin?

Possibly. In North London and Central London a lot. Mums Virgin sim is getting 20Mbps down and only on 2 bars in a Note 8. My EE sim is getting 5 bars and 190Mbps down in her Note 8. Major difference. I've actually had my EE sim out do my Virgin Media 200Mbps at times (VM has never gone past 220Mbps, EE sim hit 245Mbps on a few occasions.).

EE will never give an MVNO a full strength network. Its not beneficial to them, thats why Virgin and others will always lack. Doesn't mean they won't be good, when I was on ID it did hit 90mbps +.,

I do have a Virgin and EE sim and often do a test run.

Im on the normal sim only and get really good speeds
How much is 64Gb for 16 gbp worth on the max plan would ee let me xfer it to someone else. Just got the 9 month sport pass with nowtv and reverting back to Talktalk landline
I got off the phone from EE minutes ago, quoted the virgin deal and they offered me this contract.
Is this right, I got a 32gb SIM for 14.50 on the march deal last year 30 day rolling, I then got a 30gb for 15gbp in the august deal last year in September I doubled the data on the 32 to 64 and in October I doubled the 30 to 60. I don't need both Sims now but when I got the PAC for the 60gb SIM she said I'd lose the discount on both Sims is that right. They saying 29gbp for the 64 on its own
