EE broadband customer service is awful....

you will regret the day you need to call their customer service

Just left EE this week. Never again.

TBH this deal is rubbish compared to previous ones, my first year with them I made money after cashback and vouchers.

Ok so can you post a deal that's widely available now which beats the above?

It's not really the kind of thing that is an impulse buy so it's worth waiting until the right deal comes and jumping on it, there's at least a good deal every week on broadband. Only last weekend BT were doing Fibre for less than a fiver a month after cashback, won't be long until the next cheap one with Talktalk or Plusnet etc.

i got this deal a little while ago and have very satisfied with it

loving the £100 amazon voucher!

I got my friend to move from Talk Talk to EE last month. If it tracks he gets £101 Cashback from Quidco. Its been a shocking experience so far, his downloads are being throttled in the evening and the CS in India have been less that competent. Makes me smile when people rubbish ISP's like TT, he was with them 3 years without issues but thought the cashback was attractive and didn't think it would alter the service at all. I've just moved my Aunt away from EE with the Black Friday BT deal last week, keeping my fingers crossed!

EE are not properly unlimited - they throttle certain traffic and if you actually use a decent amount of bandwidth they start slowing the connection - avoid and go with BT Infinity instead.

+1
Seriously consider what Maveli has said here!

I ordered with EE, had serious problems them sorting out my order, then got them to cancel my order. It wasn't over, they then went on and took money from my bank account.

I went for BT infinity as well, waiting for them to set everything up.

My order last night (done over the phone) went fine - I called them this morning regarding porting my number and that too went all ok. Hopefully it stays that way.

Have you had the begging calls from them yet?

We had several a day for a few days, then they stopped after I repeatable told the caller that £5 a month is cheaper than £26 a month.

BT can be as bad if not worse when it comes to support. You get an Indian who will keep repeating the same reset your modem and hub then is it working now for over an hour in my experience.

switched a couple of months ago with similar deal, can't fault the value, still waiting for my Amazon voucher which should be due soon. Switch was easy but they didn't port my number so had to ring twice and wait 3 weeks for old number to be reinstated, but complained and they credited me a months line rental back at full value so actually ended up in credit next month, didn't use router they sent but speed is same as before and free weekend calls are a bonus.

Thanks

do you know of any current deal for broadband? have to move house and sky contract is almost finished... they rent offering anything nearer to the offer I got 11 months ago so now in hunt for a broadband deal

if anyone is concerned about EE then don't be.

I took a similar deal out 6 months ago and it worked out very well. Here the line and network is provided by BT Wholesale. I had a performance problem and BT came out and fixed it. Problem solved.

OK their support in accounts wasnt brilliant and I had to phone them each month for the first three months. I expected that from other people's comments. Now it's sorted it's really good.

After taking into account the cashback it's costing me £3.20 a month for phone, line and unlimited broadband.

No complaints here.

Broadband is a service, not a " tin of beans "...there is a huge difference, remember, you are legally committed to a long contact.

Don't do it!!!! They are awful. Leaving as of tonight!

Please listen to all the above negative reviews. I switched to EE two weeks ago and am in the process of switching to another provider already. They've lost my phone number (which I've had for 5 years) that they were supposed to port over, customer service is disgusting, broadband speeds are awful, I have to shout if I talk on the land line as the line quality is terrible and I've requested two call backs from senior staff/managers/supervisors which never happened. I must of made 20 calls in the last two weeks trying to resolve issues and every person I speak to tells me "The last person you spoke to misadvised you, what you should of been told is . . . . " only for the next person to tell me that I have been misadvised again. It seems no one there has the first clue about anything. The most pathetic excuse for an organisation that I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I will be refusing to pay any bill they send me and seeing them in court.

My service is now installed since i posted the deal - can honestly say have had no problems at all, this truly is a bargain. It'd be nice to have free evening calls but I have unlimited minutes on my mobile so no problem.

I had a couple on my home telephone but luckily I wasn't there! None after that.

Ours have finally stopped. Infinity is brilliant after three years of shoddy EEBB, only regret is not swapping earlier.

Requested it on 15th Dec, received it today! Seeing that it was christmas period, not bad! This is what they said when I requested
"Thank you for claiming your Sainsbury's Gift Card. We are checking the details of your claim and once we've confirmed you're eligible, we'll send out your voucher within the next 30 days to the address where your broadband has been installed."
