EE- UNLIMITED MINUTES + TEXTS & 100gb DATA (Retention offer) - £20

MY FIRST POST SO TAKE IT EASY ON ME

So I was due for a renewal on my EE sim only plan. I initially called to cancel my contract but managed to get EE to price match a deal Vodafone was doing.
UNLIMITED MINUTES AND TEXTS + 100GB. I also managed to hustle 6 months Apple Music and 3 months BT sport all for £20.00

i also added an additional SIM card with a different number for an extra £5 for a family member. You can share the data to them so realistically I got two sims which can share 100gb data between them for £25.

Is this for 12 months or rolling 1 month?
100gb data a lot all depends on what you do on line

Is this essential or smart plan?
Highly likely essential plan

I'm on EE smart plan get 25gb data unlimited calls and texts for £16.60
On this plan I get to choose one of four benefits - bt sport, unlimited data to selected apps, roam further and music app
For now I chose unlimited data because I get free bt sport for 3 month.
You got lucky.... EE said they'd try to match the network I am moving to (VOXI), when I called to cancel they just straight up offered me a pac code with no question about retention offers. When questioning they apparently couldn't do 15GB for 15GB because VOXI is classified as a pay as you go service.

It is, even though payment is taken monthly it still counts as pay as you go.

So when I questioned what retention offers they could do, "none because you used a student discount"

Glad I switched to VOXI. EE don't care about loyalty from my experience and I'm getting much better coverage and speeds with VOXI
I also got 100gb for £20 when i mentioned the vodafone deal and was more than happy to stay with EE so heat from me
Got this too the other week.

Same here, I'm on 16GB for £16ish and called to cancel quoting the recent VirginMedia 100GB offer, they couldn't get close so gave me PAC with no further offers. (I didn't move!)

Is the pac code still valid? I'd switch to VOXI if you're after more data. 45GB is £20 and the VOXI service is great from my experience. I am in the 15GB for £15 plan at the moment
Managed to get this deal in April on a 12 month sim only deal.

inwas currently paying around £45 a month (with NHS discount) for 11gb data, unlimited calls and minutes but called them up saying I was moving to vodaphone/virgin who were offering 100gb for £20 a month.

at first he offered me 40gb for £18 a month but then said he could do 100gb for £20 a month so least I’ve slashed my monthly bill by just over half

£45 for 11GB of data WITH a discount? How?!? Surely that was a plan with a device and not just SIM only... if not that's such a rip off.

Sorry I should have said the £45 a month was a 2 year contract with a handset but I wanted to get my bill down so moved over to sim only as not too fussed having a brand new phone
How did you manage to get a second sim for £5. The best they would do for me is £11 for 250mb on my second sim reduced to £8.80 due to nhs discount (but this has now gone up because of rpi) i even already had the sim. They kept offering me more higher plans but I said I have 100gb on this sim why would I need more data.
I then even put the 1gb data boost on this second sim to give it 1.25gb

I used to pay £20 for 20gb and my mum wouldnt even use 1gb

Just managed to get same £20 100GB! Woop! I can see the loyalty discount! But I’m not seeing the 60GB boost to the plan they put me on. Shows i have 100GB on the main page but where is the add on hiding?
why is this cold?
Manage to get it for me and my other half, mentioning VOXI.
used to be on 15pounds for 25gb.
Now never worry about data running out.
Rejected this offer to go for vodafone 100 GB for £15-ish via mobiles.co.uk

EE off late doesn't care about loyalty, and their signal quality is degrading. So no point being loyal and pay more every march!
Those who got the deal which number did you ring?
Im 15 days away from getting my PAC. This is tempting, but it would need to be MAX for me to buy, otherwise im looking at 3 unlimited or Vodafone red ent
I got the 100gb but needed to take a further family plan out at 8.50 per month but I cancelled that afterwards because I can only gift 10gb to that plan per month and it’s chore every month

EE speeds seems to be f up. for instance i pay 2quid extra a month fo rup to 90 mbit but actually with speed tests it only gets to 10mbit max. does ofcom regulates mobile sim speeds or only broadbands?

IV noticed very odd speed tests recently too. I also pay £2 extra a month for the speed boost. But for some reason my Bro (same plan as me without speed boost) is getting faster speeds. We are both on simo 100gb data.

Bro on left with standard essential plan me on right with essential plan + speed boost
I got in touch with EE yesterday.

David: hello, I have seen a deal by vodafone which I think I'm going to take as i am out of contract with EE now on 2 accounts
Sonal: Great! How may I help further then?

Sonal: Is there any account related info you are looking to get from us?

David: so you don't want to see if you can match it?
Sonal: We don't match deal as our service level cannot be compared and unbeatable, however if you wish to discuss alternative around - I'll be more than happy to transfer you to my upgrades team?

I then got chatting to someone less belligerent. In the end the guy, Richie, had the sale but couldn’t give me cover in the US as this is the Smart plan, which nobody can discount. I live at Watford and have a Max plan to tether my tv, laptop etc and I’ve been at it for 2 weeks with their engineers who can’t explain my garbage speeds, which means I can’t watch Netflix.

im approaching the 30 day point and have exhausted my options with EE. It’s Vodafone or Three for me, maybe not the fastest speeds, but around Watford I just want reliability, which 2weeks of ‘engineer support ‘ has not offered.

it is cyclical, anyway...EE are too big to compete now, which is their wound for the others to attack. In a years time they’ll be back with competitive prices when their customer levels are down
