At this price I don’t think people can be too picky in my opinion, easy to add USB-C to a PC these days

This would be for connecting a macbook pro, so not really being picky to be fair. Saves having to use a hub and additional cables if you can simply use USB-C.

Great price for the monitor/specs though

Sounds like an Apple issue to me..

I just don't understand why this company, EG, don't do Vesa mounts on their monitors, or at least I haven't seen any. It's the one thing lacking that would surely boost their sales, they must know that due to the cheapness of the monitors, people are looking to pick up two, sometimes three, to stick on a single stand.

That is being picky, your laptop is ill-equipped to deal with almost every monitor, that isn't an issue with the monitors, it's an issue with the laptops IO.

Though if you're gonna be using a monitor with a laptop, having to use a stationary usb hub isn't too much of a price to pay in my opinion.

Type C to HDMI would really solve his issue

Same for my works Lenovo laptop. Both can use HDMI or DP if required but USB-C is more convenient

I've got my usb-c only macbook pro connected to two hdmi monitors right now without a hub. Usb c to hdmi cable. They're about £3.

No power though? that's the point I was trying to make. More convenient to have USB-C connection and a single cable and then switch between macbook pro and lenovo laptop as needed without having multiple chargers/connections.

Its just one cable. Usb c to hdmi. Usb goes in an usb c device. Hdmi goes in the monitor

I get what you mean now. But a usb c from a monitor won't provide the 85w power source needed for a macbook pro anyway. That's why the macbook pro charger has that huge power brick on it

Some monitors have sufficient output (my colleague has a Lenovo monitor - think it may be the P27H) and powers his 13" macbook pro fine (which is 61w).
Anyone go fo this? Thoughts on it so far? Still tempted...
