I think this is the only place to buy "the O2" headphone amp in the UK, so a £22 saving can't be a bad thing!

Winner of Best Headphone Amplifier of the Year 2012 – Hi-Fi World Magazine & lots of other fancy awards.

I bought one of these before Christmas and it's brilliant. I use it with Denon AH-D7100 headphones (bought via a deal here!) and everything sounds amazing. My source is a Logitech Squeezebox Receiver fed with FLAC.

I also bought a couple of interconnects from Epiphany to plumb it all together, one Solaris MJS and a Solaris II MJR. I haven't compared any of it to anything else, but I'm happy with the results.

Info/Background:
The Epiphany Acoustics EHP-O2 is a battery powered portable headphone amplifier which has been designed from the ground up by electronic engineer 'NwAvGuy' to offer some of the best, if not the best, specifications and hi-fi functionality on the market today. This has been accomplished by months of development using top of the range audio testing equipment to fine tune and carefully select the most optimum design, layout and components.

already bough one in December last year, even at full RRP its an excellent AMP, the EHP-O2D at £166 looks very tempting!

Good find

I ordered the O2D tonight for use with my MacBook (but via Amazon so missed the offer - had vouchers to use). The standard O2 lives in the lounge permanently. Such a good price I don't mind buying a second one!

Seriously impressive sound!

what does these things actually do?

will it be worth buying to get better sound from your mobile in this case the HTC one?

Well , i have to say its not the most portable amp there - however i find it ok for long train travels or flights, but not for everyday walking around...

and what it does in few points
1.provide current/voltage reserve capacity for dynamic peaks.
2.color the sound.
3.boost volume.
4.increase dynamics.
Present a different (hopefully more optimal) impedance load to upstream components.

As for the HTC one it all depends what headphones you using

If you think it's going to colour the sound you've slightly missed the point of the O2 amp.

It's entire design is built around providing the least perceivable difference to the sound as possible while providing enough power to drive nearly any headphone in a portable unit.

I am using Logitech ultimate ears triple fi 10. iems. cost a bomb so should be decent earphones for this amp you thunk?

looking for higher volume and mire oomph

They will definitely be able to add much higher volume.

I have the EHP- 02D and really love it, the DAC works well with my Galaxy phone too. These things are pretty good prices normally so any discount should get some heat, more from me.

great amp use it everyday at work, hate using headphones without it now

I use this with my HD-800's. If you know these headphones, then you know that they need the best to drive them. This little unit delivers. It's better than amps 5x the cost.

My EHP-02D arrived today! Very pleased indeed. Sounds great & it's brilliant to be able to use my nice headphones with the computer without compromising sound quality.

Headphones will now get more use!
