Hi folks I'm looking for a self propelled, 46cm plus mower with decent power. This is the best I have seen.
What do you think?
Is there promo codes available for toolstation?

It's a good make, with metal deck etc, just change the oil and spark plug every few years and it should last.

It's smaller though!
Go with jhotdeal. Plastic deck wont rust and doesn't need maintenance. No brainer.

When you hear a stone hit your fantastic plastic you cringe, keep calm and carry on hoping nothing has split.

Plastic technology has come on a bit since the days of Bakelite - think of car bumpers.

TBF If someone's looking at a self propelled petrol mower, they probably do have a huge garden.

Thanks for the reply, that's definitely a good deal, but I need something bigger. Just interested if anyone has seen anything better for price ?
Aldi are currently doing a 46cm mower for the same price.

It has yes, but I've seen the damage stones can cause. Plastic is ok for battery, but with petrol engines stones can hit with force and take chunks out the plastic inside. Just as long as the buyer is aware.
I bought this two years ago. Does the job fine. Sure there are better for more money but effective. Pretty heavy.
Anyone know which oil to use with this?

Awesome thank you
Would have got this but don't know if I'll make it to the summer with this cronovirus thing
Mum bought this and took it back cos it wasnt great at self propelling and got stuck, she preferred a light non self-propelled machine to push around.

They are fine if kept indoors and not left out in the elements. I have a ten year old cheapy from B& Q which gets used every week during spring, summer & autumn. Rarely gets cleaned and only changed oil twice. Deck is still like new.

guess it depends where you stay, here in north east scotland it can get real cold -5 or -6 is quite common but it has been a lot colder at times and the plastic deck one i had started to break after the first winter and yes it was stored in a garage.
