Went to Aldi this morning to get one but none in store, so called up their customer service to be told they'd no stock anywhere, so popped into the Wickes around the corner and they had this on the shelf

See how you get on. It is smaller and lighter than the aldi one. It's a 99cc engine with 1 litre fuel capacity with a 120 minute charging time according to the spec on wickes website?? Lol.

Do you know what the warranty is on this model?

Like any petrol mower. Will need a yearly service as opposed to electric mowers. The aldi one I got is mahoosive and nearly 30kg!!!! I mas be goin crazy!!!!

Petrol mowers do not necessarily need a lot of servicing. If one has a reasonable basic knowledge of engines it can be done at home otherwise in a couple of years you will pay about the same as the mower cost at first.
Main things are oil, spark plugs, air filter.
All pretty easy to do and.not essential to clean or replace all every year. Depends on use.
Might need a minor adjustment here and there if a cable stretches but pretty easy.
If this was a Briggs and Stratton it would run for years. Many of those outlast the body of the machine. The "XUD 9TE" for mowers Not sure it is but still a good price.

Never had a Petrol mower before, was pretty straight forward to set up and will probably be used 3-4 times a month on a small/medium sized garden(took 10-15 mins to cut earlier). I have no knowledge of engines but am happy to have a go at fixing myself if any issues arise by having a look at YouTube.
It was quite an experience using the self propelled function , nearly had half the borders in the grass box
I've had my petrol lawnmower 4 over 15 years grass at front & back & never had any problems or serviced the mower it's not like a car that does 10k a year
The oil is ok l check it every yr b4 l use it

You've had your mower for 15 years and never serviced it? Not changed the oil nor taken the petrol out for storage during all them winters? Which mower you got out of interest @DonnieClark ?
The petrol has bn used obviously but grass cut every 2-3wks during the summer petrol can refilled a few times a year but not even added oil
It's a mountfield l think never had a problem with it.
I have an old cheap mountfield that is 25 years old now! It gets an oil change and a spark plug every ten years. It's been brilliant and still runs like new.
