just managed to squeeze in the Einhell multitool for the same price (expired deal/oos now - EDIT: and now cancelled!) and HUKD user Louiselouise posted this product in the comments, so credit goes to her.

NO! i haven't included delivery in the title. just need to spend above 4p to get free delivery. lots of stuff for around £1

recently been using my Bosch blue combi drill for constant (several hours) use with wire cup brushes cleaning up rusty tools and was concerned about hammering the carbon brushes and general wear on the drill for the sake of saving mostly cheap tools. i'm not expecting anything much at all from this Einhell drill as far as quality goes. but, for what i want to use it for, it features:

keyless chuck

lock on switch

drill/drill + impact

variable speed dial for fixed speeds

4 out of 5 stars on amazon (also available there from seller: maplin and on their main site)

oh and i'm guessing for the price and description it's not cordless (as per title on ebay) 650W 240V is the clue!!

Getting to disposable prices.

Yep! only on main site 580W keyed chuck impact drill for £7.20 here

Got this drill, does what it says on the tin. Nothing fancy but plenty of grunt and the keyless chuck is a huge help. I managed to turn my rock hard walls into Swiss cheese with little effort.

That looks like one hell of a drill. Hot.

hehe, yeah I know it looks pants (assuming you're being sarcastic), but for less than a tenner I'm not gonna moan

I thought everyone would say it was a load of old rubbish so didn't bother I know nothing about drills! The cheapie Maplin 580W one (in store only) gets good reviews though maplin.co.uk/p/m…6ec £7.20

(Just realised it's mentioned earlier in the thread, oops :p)

shiiiiiitttttt. I should stop visiting this website. It's highly addictive and I have spent loads of money over last few months, mostly for things I don't need lol

It comes with an electronic speed control which helps to maintain speed for a more precise drilling experience and also includes an ergonomically designed soft grip handle to cushion your hands during use.

Same price on Amazon

Impact is like what most drills makers call hammer. It relies on two disks with opposing angled teeth to basically bounce the drill end. "Pneumatic hammer", which you find on SDS drills actually has a piston inside which physically hammers the chuck and the the drill bit.

Same price in Maplin, free click and collect...easier to take back if it does go wrong in next 12mths:

I have an Einhell belt sander and its fantastic - it pulls like a train, was cheap and looks good. I would definitely buy more of their products!

I ordered this drill and it came yesterday but there are no drill bits is that normall

Unfortunately yes is the answer...it's the same with a large number of power tools these days (especially the cheap ones as I guess they've got to try and get extra money somewhere and probably hope you'll buy their range of bits to go with it..no different to the cheap printer scenario where they practically give the printer away and them hope to make the money up on it by persuading the consumer to buy only expensive genuine ink to go with it)...anyway so sorry rambling on...you need to buy the bits separately

got mine today too. not bad at all for the money. variable trigger speed with alternative variable speed knob for maintaining constant slower speeds. bit of oil in the chuck (it was a bit glitchy opening and closing) and the motion is nice and smooth. only concern I have is the forward and reverse switch is very flimsy, with a small knock it would snap off. manual says brushes are replaceable, by a professional electrician - hmm, don't think so for a £10 tool
