I almost bought this yesterday. After reading some of the negative reviews I changed my mind. Particularly the issue with the guide fence being useless which is one of the most important parts of the item. However this is a good price and the issues seem to be pretty common among table saws in this price bracket. At this price I'm pretty tempted again

Better the get the Lidl saw when it comes up on sale, similar price, and at least you get 3 years warranty for the same specced machine.
They're nearly all badged versions from the same factory.

They are all pretty much the same, Aldi workzone et al. Lidl one wont be back on for a while as it just finished in September. This one is delivered, actually in stock and cheaper at the expense of a 2 year vs 3 year for the lidl. Im not too fond of supermarket powertool warranties. If it breaks down in 2 years, what's the chance of them having another table saw to replace it with. Yes you get a refund but a refund wont cut timber.

I can't see on the Amazon page where it says 2 years warranty.
And Lidl sell the same items, or close variants, year after year, meaning a breakdown after 2 years and 1 day will probably be fixed or replaced. With tools like these, or a lawnmower, etc, I don't use them every day, so it would take a 3 year period to show any defects that might appear after 6 months daily use. If the extended warranty is there, I would go for it.

The warranty on ALDI etc is fulfilled by the manufacturer. You don't take them back to store. We bought an own brand micro from ALDI that packed in whilst under warranty. We had to send it to Germany, at their expense, and we got a brand new one back within a week.
