Hopper 20" Folding Electric bike
Catalogue Number: 215-7386

The prrice on Tesco direct website is £399 which is a very reasonable for an electric bicycle. Then with Quico, for 1st time tesco direct users, the code TDX-PKMW gives £10 pounds discount, so invoice price (with £3.50 delivery charge) comes to £392.

Then quidco has tracked to £14.50 so total price if quidco comes thro is £377.50.

This was when I ordered, (on Sat) but Quicdco has reduced the rate so cashbach may be a couple of pounds less.

The bike has vey positive reviews and was persuaded to buy as some one I know actually had their faulty battery changed by the supplier almost 12 months after purchase, so the after sales seems good too.

I've not tried the bike myself so don't know how good it really is.

Okay so who knows a lot about electric bikes to justify a cold rating....if you have some knowledge then share it with the community.

The bike may not be to everyone's taste, but the price is very reasonable, and if someone can show me an equivalent from a decent supplier (not Sports Direct) that is cheaper then id happily cancel my order as not yet delivered. The deal may help some one as I done a lot of research was expecting to pay a lot more till I came across this it.

Incidentally there is the same model badged as E-co at a simile price from other suppliers like Sports Direct, but their after sales service leaves. Lot to be desired if things go wrong.

Doesnt someone make a more sturdy scooter type somewhere?
How does it compare to this?

This isn't a bad deal for a leccy bike..... 8.5 amp battery and 21 kilos which isn't that heavy for an Ebike. Should get about 20 miles with pedal assist.
Been thinking about buying one myself, although i'm looking for a more conventional bike rather than a step thru.

I'll give it heat.

I think I rather walk or run (probably out do it, is seen these things and they aint much faster than a slow pace run)

This is cheap, not sure why people are voting it cold. Obviously the idiots who know nothing about what they're looking at.

Hot.

Where am I supposed to plug it in out on the trails? For that reason, I'm colding.

Buy one from Prorider better quality.

When asking the Tesco staff how powerful the motor is - ignore the ratings in KiloWatts, tell them you know it has HORSE power in it!

I bought one of these last year (yes, from Tesco). I have ridden it to the shops and back through the Cotswolds hills, about 15 miles round trip, and it still has plenty left at the end. True, they are not very fast (about 15MPH tops), but I sail past guys on racing bikes with all the clobber when going up hill. They don't know whether to look envious or disgusted.

You do have to keep pedalling to make it go- no effort needed, but the cranks have to turn. There is a sensor. If you stop pedalling the motor stops.

The E-go, which as you say is the same bike is £1 more in Asda direct.asda.com/Vik…tml

the speed some of these electric bike kits can do is incredible. completely illegal, but one overtook me when I was doing 28mph on a strava segment. absolutely flew past me, (he had to be doing well over 30mph) the guy wasn't pedalling either. they are supposed to only do 15mph Max, and you are supposed to be pedalling!

They are cheap for a reason..because they are junk...this is a landfill bike. Go to a bike shop, ride a quality bike then go try junk like this and you will understand.
