I'm going to go for one of these after work... can anyone explain the cold votes?

Problem is the missus can't use the jack OR get the wheelnuts off so good old Mr AA gets called out to do it, !!!!

Although it's a good reduction, it's quite a lot of money for a gadget you may never use. If you can't jack up a car with a normal jack, it's unlikely you'll be able to get the wheelnuts off - so AA will be called.
Voted neutral.

They extend like this.

They normally come with two reversible sockets so you get 17mm, 19mm, on one and 21mm, and 23mm on the other - so cover most cars.

With the brace extended - even a lightish person placeing on foot on the handle and their hands on the roof - should be able to put enough weight onto the brace to start off a bolt/nut tightened by a garages most enthusiastic impact driver.

Most big cash and carries do them for under a fiver - I got a couple for 2.99 ex VAT each.

" Do not get BODILY under a vehicle that is supported only by a jack"!!

Mentally is OK but not Bodily.

Thanks for that.
