Found 14th Jun 2013
Have been keeping an eye out for some form of patio heater to keep the party outside that little longer!

Ideally wanted something gas but found these half price electric heaters. They cost more to run but from various reviews on the web they seem very effective.

They have 3 different versions
Wall mounted - £25
wilko.com/chi…nta

Freestanding - £35
wilko.com/chi…ade

Hanging - £35
wilko.com/chi…ade

I have ordered a hanging one for a friend and the freestanding one for me.

Hope it helps somebody
(FYI argos and Homebase are selling both the hanging one for £90 and the wall mounted one for £50)

Thanks

Fantastic because i love sitting outside in the winter on the patio freezing my nuts off.

Now i will feel a glow on my head but the rest of my body will be cold. Great.

Wonderful way to help global warming. Wyevale garden centres stopped selling these products because of the environmental damage they can cause.

So, ironically, cold.

Oh I wonder what joy and comfort you will feel..... when you get your electric bill

I fully appreciate the Global Warming problem, and do my bit to help - including re-cycling etc - but really think things like this are a tiny tiny drop in the ocean after visiting Las Vegas, Shanghai, Dubai and Hong Kong !
Vegas is built on the middle of the desert - no doors on some of the casinos and air con blowing 24 hrs a day, a million lights etc !
China pumping out millions of tons of greenhouse gases from the coal fired energy.
Dubai has a indoor ski slope in 45 degree heat !
And I'm washing bean tins out and takin the paper off for recycling !
hardly seems worth it ?
Seem a good deal for the heater - can't see it being used massively - just towards the end of night at a BBQ - or if you have guests who smoke ?

You know something you do have a pont here.
I also recycle, i am forced into it by my local authority and as they provide all the equipment that i need to do it then I have no problem with it.
We have 4 full size wheelie bins in our yard so we separate out as much stuff as we can. We also have a much smaller plastic bin next to our sink, for food waste, which is then tipped into our brown wheelie bin, which has garden waste and other such stuff in it.

China open up 10 coal fired power stations every month!!

So I am doing my 'bit'....but in the whole scheme of things it is a very tiny bit indeed.

I actually think that some garden centres stopped selling the bottled gas powered patio heaters and switched to selling these instead.

Jch6241 great comment.Imho I think the chimneys (spelt it wrong) are better on a cold night and more fun.
