Crazy price fopr the specs. Was posted @ £180 on here in August.
I actually just stumbled on it & it was showing as £129. I ordered one and it has immediately gone up to £149 but still a great price.

Previous thread has a few comments about quality, seems like should be ok for the money. hotukdeals.com/deals/electriq-27-qhd-1440p-95hz-freesync-hdr-monitor-3274538

What stands out
  • The Quad HD (1440p) picture delivers pin sharp, stunningly realistic picture detail
  • It supports HDR content so you can enjoy intensely vibrant colour, detail and life-like realism
  • Optimised for Nvidea and AMD graphic cards to eliminate any stuttering and tearing
  • 95Hz refresh rate and 5ms response time makes for smoother viewing of action scenes, sports and games
  • There are plenty of connection options so you can connect to multiple devices at once

The detailsIf you're looking to upgrade your tired old monitor to a feature-packed panel without breaking the bank, then this 27 Inch IPS model is just the thing you need. The Quad HD (1440p) display delivers four times the pixels of a 720p monitor, so you'll be able to enjoy spectacular visuals enriched with detail to bring your gaming and movies to life. It also comes loaded with the latest in HDR technology to produce a more natural looking picture that bursts with colour, preserving every little detail in the brightest brights to the darkest shadows.

The QHD (1440p) visuals are brilliantly supported by a 95hz refresh rate and 5ms response time to ensure even fast moving sequences appear smoother and more detailed. And, if you've got a compatible AMD or Nvidia graphics card, then you can take advantage of the monitor's built-in FreeSync or G-sync technology to eliminate screen tear and stutter when gaming. At the back of the monitor there's plenty of ports for you to quickly connect up your desktop PC or games console, including a HDMI and DisplayPort. The monitor even comes with a FREE HDMI cable so you can have it set up and ready to go straight away.

Never heard of the brand. Any good?

Believe they are an own brand of appliances/laptops direct. So bit of a no brand but if you look at previous thread I linked to theres comments saying it's the same as a Pixio model which has been fairly well reviewed.

Really it's taking the features at this price Vs having a known brand

They offer free delivery if you are prepared to wait a bit which I am. - laptopsdirect.co.uk/con…ery £14.95 is for nominated morning. Or is that £15 for standard delivery if you are 1 of those post codes?
Ooo I'm tempted, anyone own one, could you give any feedback if so?

Few people commented on the previous thread with their experiences - hotukdeals.com/dea…538

I've now realised that thread also links to a previous thread of the same monitor, which also has some comments on & a link to a review of the Pixio which is almost the same monitor: hotukdeals.com/dea…386

BTW I'd not realised that deal was still live when I posted, this is at least now cheaper.
In the USA these are known as "Pixio PX275h" which is basically the same panel, they just slap the brand ElectriQ on the UK version.
These can overclock to roughly 105Hz from 95Hz.

You can see a review of pretty much the same model here: youtube.com/wat…rRA

if only they added the vesa stand for an extra tenner
Decent price for the resolution and refresh rate, hate how these are advertised as HDR capable, 8bit panel that can't even reach the absolute minimum standards of 400nits.

It can't be used as a microwave or a car engine either funnily enough. It's a sodding disgrace.

Yeah HDR claim is nonsense, might accept an HDR input but it's not HDR. Was looking at specs in spite of the HDR claim

I've got it, stupidly good for the price. Metro Exodus looks gorgeous.

Look at the review posted further up, it's a pixio monitor.

The vast majority of "HDR" monitors are not truly HDR compliant.

That's actually hilarious. They include *all* of PA and PH as remote. So central Perth and Paisley. Perth, which is pretty much slap bang in the middle of Scotland, with any deliveries going to the not-remote Dundee area likely passing through it, and Paisley which includes Glasgow airport.

What is IE?
abhijeet.acharyya02/10/2019 15:55

What is IE?

as in ireland - laptopsdirect.ie

That is a good shout, it's €150.97 which seemingly with Revolut goes to ~£130 & the delivery is the same from the ie site as it is from the uk site
laptopsdirect.ie/ele…asp

I actually got it for £130 from the UK site, it then went straight up to £150 just as I was about to post the deal.
I have two of these. Color & brightness are spot on. Nicer picture than my Acer ED273UR that they sit between.

I got one, had to send the first one back as got intermittent green flashing lines, second one has been fine though, really good value for the money
I bought 2 - arrive tomorrow - I'll let you all know how I get on

as far as I know the PS4 Pro can't siplay 1440p, it does 1080p or 4k only, so no this wouldnt be a good choice. Also wouldnt be able to use the 95hz refresh either

Thanks for the info appreciate it. Are there any monitors that support PS4 pro? I rather spend money in a monitor than a qled or oled. TV is so occupied by family atm it's unbelievable

Any 4k 60hz monitor will be fine on PS4 pro. It can only output 1080p or 4k, and afaik it doesn't support adaptive sync/ freesync. It does support HDR so you may want to look at those but getting a 4k HDR monitor can be pricey.
i'm looking for a VA monitor (high contrast monitor) so when i saw HDR in the specs i jumped to the conclusion that this would have a high contrast ratio but nope: 1000:1

I don't need HDR but i thought it would at least be nice and bright.
Thanks for posting but not for me
I've had one of these for a few months now and have been pleasantly surprised. A few letters of the logo fell off one day one but I've since removed the whole logo which looks better anyway.

The monitor does have backlight bleed but this isn't something that ever bothered me too much and every IPS suffers from this time some degree.

After a quick colour calibration it looks great and for gaming performs well, not really a bad word to say about it in that respect and when considering it was £180, at £150 it is a no brainer

I also use this on my xbox one with the variable refresh rate enabled and again it looks and plays great

Just for info, HDR is more tied to the brightness rather than contrast. There are standards for different HDR levels, displayhdr.org/per…-1/

Basic HDR needs 400 nits or cd/m. This monitor only has 350 so doesn't hit the basic standard. 500+ is where you really get HDR.
anyone using this with a nivdia card with freesync?

They may have the same panel but they don’t run the same software!. So a few features missing. I bought one and returned it within the week
Would this monitor be good for graphics work? I've been looking at a more expensive BenQ model as I don't need a monitor for gaming but these specs look great for the money!
There are conflicting pictures on the laptops direct page, one picture shows 4 ports (2 HDMI & 2 DP) and another shows 2 ports (1 HDMI and 1 DP). I amuse it's the latter?

It's also worth noting that the images are clearly photoshoped to give the impression of minimal edges but when you look at the PX275h in motion there is more edge than the laptops direct images imply.

If you're on the budget, then sure - IPS panel isn't bad for that. 2k resolution sounds ok for some hobby works, too. If you, however, plan to use this for something more serious, or professional (paid) activities, then you should go for something more expensive, with confirmed high colour accuracy.
Turn the HDR off on this for a better picture.
