Hmm
Just wondering, would you be better off with 4k at that size? I got a 27" at that res and I find reading pdf magazines abit annoying as you cant get the full 2 pages to fully display and be clearly readable on it.... I'm guessing that's down to resolution and size. Sorry, a little off topic..but does anyone know if 32" 4k should improve that issue?

If you are on Windows 10, you could try the screen zoom in display settings. May be that will sort the issue out.

What’s the hmm for please? Is this no good? I’m looking at getting a monitor. Thanks.

Look okay spec wise I just don't have any personal experience with this brand.

If you put two PDFs next to each other on your current monitor and then sit 15% closer can you read them comfortably?

If you can then a 32" QHD will be fine for what you need.

If the resolution is just not high enough then 4K would be better.

Personally I'd go for 4K but it's borderline depending on what you're looking at.
Voted hot for the price/spec, thanks OP.

However I cannot find any reviews on Amazon and one of the Laptops Direct reviews says that it does not have G Sync as stated in the spec. Does anyone here own one and have any feedback? Thanks
Ordered the 27" ElectriQ from these guys, not only has DX delivery (the network they use) claim it's been delivered and signed for (when it hasn't!) but also I spent over an hour on hold with Laptops Direct and couldn't get through.

I am still waiting 48 hours later to report this as missing. DX delivery didn't want to know as they claim only Laptop's Direct can raise an incident of a missing package.

Waste of time, never ordering from Laptops Direct again.

QHD is popular because very few systems can play 4K games at higher than 60fps. If you lower the resolution of a 4K display, you have to go all the way down to 1080p to be able to display it natively without filtering making the image blurry.

QHD is the best compromise between resolution and frame rate for current graphics cards (and is likely to be the case for a long time unless Intel's upcoming graphics cards manage to shake up the market)

2k is more for gaming than anything else atm.

It's been posted quite a few times to HUKD, consensus has been that it's very good for the price. You're not getting a particularly high refresh rate, but if you're looking for something in this price bracket you probably don't have a GPU that pushes 100+ frames at 1440 in demanding titles.

Only caveat iirc was that the stand is garbage. Been eyeing this display for a while now, if I had the pennies right now I'd buy one. Don't know anything about laptops direct as a company though.

There’s an AOC 27inch just been posted too at £133 so I’m trying to decide. I just need it for watching lectures really.....

If you're comparing it to this one: hotukdeals.com/dea…028

Then imo go with the electriQ. Better resolution is more important there, and this is a VA panel rather than TN which tends to be better for colours etc.

Easier to do general desktop browsing / multitasking at 2k due to the extra real estate on the screen.

Sounds about right for them
Pin sharp? 1440p @ 32" has the same PPI has 1080p @ 24" so no sharper than a bog standard monitor.

And I say that as an ownder of a 1440p 32" monitor, 27" with 1440p is when things get nice and sharp, and at 32" you really need 4k for it to be really sharp.

This is assuming all monitors are at standard desk to user distance of 2-3 feet.
Overclocking?
electriQ are awful... i bought this brand previously, item died and customer service (electriQ) was a disgrace
