Putting LG in the title is misleading, even if it’s the same panel that LG use.

Does this have hdr?

Not sure but thinkni read it's the same spec as last years foreign version of lg oled. My father in law had one... it broke within 7 months and as he lives in Cyprus it had to go back to retailers who send it back to Poland or Where ever it was made. 6 weeks without a main tv later he got his money back
It wasn't same as last years b6v or this year's.
Even my reply has gone into moderation. Are you a mod?
Even if it is the same panel it's a different operating system. So it's not likely to be optimised the same as the LG OS will be.
Not voting, don't know anything about the brand but could be an interesting find if it is the b7 panel
Did last year's lg have this full spec? Seems like a lot on paper. Really like some opinions as was planning to see if the b7 dropped to around this price after chrimbo

I updated the title, it's a direct copy from the website.

Are you sure you're not thinking of the LG EG9A7?

Last time this 'ElectriQ' OLED came up I thought this looked like a Konka TV as the case design was a close match but I don't know if anyone's done any other research:

Yes as it's not lg, the panel will be from one of lg non 6 or 7 series and the software will be what ever the ever and company put on it.

Not saying it is a bad tv just pointing out it is highly likely to be from the budget 2016 range

More likely as the one i posted also had 3d, I very much doubt it's a 6 or 7 series.

Will still look good it just won't have the bells whistles and user experience that the 6 or 7 has.

I have no oledtv keep getting tempted but 1k max I think and only once Xmas is done.

No it isn't.
It's important to know.
Not HDR capable then.
At least LG 2016 panel, given it's HDR.

It is HDR10 …It is HDR10 compatible.http://electriq.co.uk/electriq-55-4k-ultra-hd-oled-smart-tv-with-android-and-hdr-eiq-55uhdt2holed/

Compatible or capable? My LG 850v set is HDR10, Dolby vision and the other one compatible, but doesn't go bright enough to get the HDR premium standard, some cheaper sets will accept a HDR signal but do fack all with it.

Good point. I guess time will tell once the reviews are in. I'd be surprised though. £1k for an old OLED is a bit of a rip off
First time I've seen an off brand OLED TV. Personally i'd avoid this seeing as OLED technology is still in it's infancy and it might be using a quality LG OLED panel but I suspect the electronics driving it will be mediocre at best. Paying the extra £400 for current gen LG is well worth it in my opinion, at least if it goes wrong within the warranty period LG will repair on site or collect and return it, who knows what service you'd get with this. Not voting cold though.

Excellent trolling. Complimenti.
All we need now is for Polaroid and Bush to start making OLED TVs.

Only a matter of time 😜
nearly all consumer OLED TV panels are made by LG. Including Sony, Sharp, Phillips, Panasonic and this one.

Because LG is the leading manufacturer of OLED panels - same as how the mobile OLED panels are mainly made by Samsung, even in the Apple iPhone.

It doesn't mean this product will be the same quality as an LG or Sony OLED.
Considering the owners of the LG 2016 panels generally turn off all of the processing settings for the best picture. It may be worth a punt if you really have no more than £999. The panel is good enough not to need processing, unlike an LCD.

Personally, I'd pay the bit more for the LG as they have now updated them to include HLG which is what the BBC will be using.

How long until the £999 LG OLED?
Any been seen in the wild or videos or reviews?

If I could find something that backed up the price and LG panel. Definitely worth considering. As next best deal is £1200 or £1500 depending on last year and this year panels. 20 to 50% saving for a different OS is worth considering.
Does anyone know how to tell the different between a 2016 and a 2017 panel?

I would like to know this too, tbh I thought this deal would be a lot hotter but maybe the way the OP has phrased it has killed it
