OLED 4K Smart HDR10 TV for lower than £900? Here it is.
It uses the same OLED Panel as LG do, along with having HDR!
It's a top grade Ex-Display, it may not be a known brand, but with this kind of panel, good reviews and a year's warranty, it isn't a bad deal.

It also has android so you can get all your favourite android apps!

I am aware of that but they are comparable rival technologies and you …I am aware of that but they are comparable rival technologies and you would be crackers to pay £855 for this open box ElectriQ branded tv OLED or not. In fact even if it was brand new you would be crackers.

I agree that this a dodgy brand, and I wouldn’t by it personally, but QLED is a marketing term and not comparable to OLED - Samsung cleverly created the term QLED, in the hope that buyers such as yourself would think it was similar to OLED.

I think £45 extra for the non ex-displsy unit is probably worth it!
When you can get a new Samsung QLED Q6 for £895 with a 5 year warranty.

That isn't OLED.
When it comes to online retailers, Ex-Display usually means customer return.

These guys also have a showroom, so may well be ex display

Voted hot, but with the new LG OLEDs recently being announced, you may well be able to buy last years models for not much more than this. And I’m confirmation that while the panels are LG the processing and features isn’t on par

They are in no way comparable. At all. "QLED" TVs are just bog standard edge lit LCD TVs with a colour filter. That's it. Comparing them to OLED TVs is a joke. They don't even compare favourably to full-array local dimming LCDs like the Sony XE90/XF90.

Yes I know about the marketing spiel but they still can be compared hence all the articles about OLED Vs QLED highlighting the pros and cons of each.

They can't be compared so that's why all the leading consumer and trade magazines frequently compare them. They must be all must be expert jokers. And what from I can gather none of them rubbish QLED as definitely as you are doing.

I guess you can watch BBC1 on them both.

But sarcasm aside, the QLED is just an LED, Hisense also do ULED, no doubt others will bring out similar terms.
Edge lit LCDs are not inherently bad. The Sony XE9305 is superior to the XE9005 and is only edge lit. However the 2017 Samsung's have been quite poor with a better TV available from a different manufacturer at most price points. As for OLED being your choice, do your research. There is still a small possibility of image burn and OLED will never be as bright as the better LCDs.
Only you can decide if the blackest blacks are worth the sacrifice at the other end.

I’ve got an oled and qled, the qled was originally purchased to be our main Tv, the light bleed and poor viewing angles meant it was placed in the bedroom. Oled succeeds LCD in many ways more than just black levels. As for brightness, panel build quality is so poor by the time you crank up the nits the screen is BLB city and contrast is ruined. Been using my OLED for a year, no burn in for me.

The Sonys are great TVs, I believe they have FALD, a good LCD option.

Presumably that's to match your phone, because LGs high end TVs are far superior.

One doesnt need a backlight to be seen, therefore you get perfect black levels.
The other is invisible when lit without a backlight, yes Samsung uses a fancy filter but your image comes courtesy of a plain old LCD panel backlit by an array of LEDs.

there just over priced Imo
and wouldn't say far superior
I've some high end tvs and projectors and the blacks and colours have always been quality

Samsung lcd are not back lit. They are edge lit and the reason I wouldn’t buy one.
