Its easy to forget to turn the light out, or to leave the TV on standby. But Electrisave can help inform and educate you and your family so that you use less energy effortlessly. A clip-on sensor and transmitter inside your existing meter box transmits a real-time reading to a portable LCD display that you can see. The reading shows the cost of electricity being used (or wasted!) and the amount of CO2 gases you are contributing to the environment

This I could only find in store, £10 off

even better, save yourself £40 and dont buy this...either switch off your electrical items or but a timed switch that does it for you for about £3 in b&q, you dont need to be einstein to work out which items are the most power hungry
think about the greenhouse gases used to create this esp the lcd display and batteries
it annoys me, another example of the environmental brainwash bandwagon

LIDL were selling off these a couple of weeks ago, but plug in ones, I bought one thinking it was a timer. You plug it into the socket and then plug the appliance into it.

It had been reduced to £3.50 and there were quite a few left in the Wellington (Telford) branch.

Twaddle. A device which actually shows people their level of usage is a very positive step in the management of energy. I'd like to see every property fitted with a device like this.

Yeah, but why does a simple monitoring device have to cost £25-£40??? I agree it is a total waste of money - simple read the ratings on your appliances and then adjust your usage accordingly.

Yeah, why didn't I think of that? All I need to do is go round every appliance in the house and write down the rating. Then I can simply keep a tally of my consumption by adding/subtracting every time I switch something on and off. Obviously I'll first have to monitor the fridge for a few days to work out the averages while it switches on off, oh and the same for the cooker, freezer, heaters, shower etc.

Sorry I was such a dimwit, this is a terrible deal. cold cold cold
