Yes it's cheap. But you get what you pay for.
A lot of negative comments on Amazon.
If you rely of your projector spend more on it.
If you just want a cheap toy to play with, yes this might just do.

Cheap for a reason.

Thanks. Could you explain please? I found that even though this is not the best out there, Amazon review says that it is 4 stars out of 5 in 77 reviews. Correct me if I am wrong. They also offer ''30 days money back for any reason'' and it comes with Amazon fulfillment, that's why I bought this for this price.

Take the reviews with a large dosage of salt - a lot are from free product reviews.

Noisy.

Typically for these types of 'projectors' - low resolution 800x480 pixels

Fairly restrictive positioning to get the 'optimum' image quality.

Resolution puts me off...

Be great all in one with a chromecast though..
Those free product reviews are messing up the whole point of the review section on Amazon........
I've got this, myself and the children are happy with it.

How do you find the resolution? I could see the discussion here on previous posts. The description says that ''Native Resolution: 800x480 pixels
Supported Resolution: 1920x1080 pixels'', does it fit my purpose for using it in parties and occasional other functions/meetings(I just wanted a reasonable cheap projector as a standby)

Well I think that pretty much sums up this toy.
What ballpark price could you get a decent projector for?
I very much doubt this is 1200 lumens.

True. The first review on Amazon states some tests being done:

I doubted many of the specs when I ordered this but the low price made it worth taking a risk. I have a 200 lumen pico projector that cost me about £400 four years ago so I have something to compare it to.

When comparing the brightness of 200 lumen K11 with the 1200 lumen Elephas the 200 lumen Acer K11 is about twice as bright as the Elephas. So the reported 1200 lumen is probably 120 lumen. See attached photo.

I converted the photo to greyscale and then measured the white points in each where the images do not overlap. This gave 225 for K11 and 139 for the Elephas making it 62% less bright at approx 124 lumens

Circa £350-£400 for an entry level projector, though prices go up and down like a yo-yo.

I just had one of these elephas projectors delivered the other day, I opted for the model which was #1 in amazons projector category. Safe to say it's a complete waste of money and not fot for any purpose, sending it back asap. Save your money and save up for a proper one
i got a second hand optima from richer sounds for 140 quid. 720p. short throw gt720 i think. it rocks. problem with 2nd hand is uncertainty about bulb life but when i was researching these chinese knock offs i discovered most of their claims were fake so suggest people try and find refurbished deals. my 720p had a new bulb from richer sounds. i gave it to my dad and got the 1080p version on black Friday.
Tho only time I would buy this sort of tat is for special effects for windows in your home to backlight halloween projections, IF they are under £30 delivered.

We have Optoma's (my nipper has had an led one in her room since she was 5yrs old) ..super stuff
Probably alright for the odd PowerPoint presentation?

So the highest it's been was £70, Amazon RRP of £199 is usual BS then...
I decided to pick one up, will just return if I'm not satisfied with it.. I am just going to use it as an extra to watch the odd film or football game while my UHD tv is being used by other family members. Of course I do not expect much at this price.. So we will see what happens.
