So get that other 4 inch projector instead of this dim one.

Just to flag up to anyone new to these, it offers (mostly) Full-HD (1080p) support - not 1080p display resolution. eg You can send it a Full-HD signal and it will downscale to the projector's actual resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Still a good price but there's a world of difference between this and even an old Epson EH-TW model on eBay.

Agreed. I have a Chinese one similar to this. Very good picture, bit don't expect crystal clear full HD, it's really just an upscale.
look for a Crenova or ExcelVan or Elephas chinese projetor that supports 720p NATIVE, you should be able to get one for about 70 or 80 quid. 720p native is 1280 by 720 .

Yeah. They say they're cracking down on stuff like this, but you need only quickly delve into the cheap electronics side of Amazon to see that they're doing absolutely nothing to stop it.

1500+ reviews for a cheap tatty projector with numerous false claims in the description? Please.

This one useless, you get focus in the center and blurry on the edge picture. Tri ed 4 different once, 480p, 720p and 1080p native resolution... All the same, fast motion jittering, impossible to watch. If you are up for a decent DLP projector, go for Xgimi or Mijia. They priced £300+ but you get autofocus, digital keystone, more than decent Dolby sound, crisp picture focused from edge to edge, 500+ANSI lumens (don't mix up with EU lumens which in equivalent will be 1500+). I bought myself Xiaomi Mijia Lite and more than happy
Could I connect. My sky q box to this??
4500 lux? 1080p? Really. This is not 1080p native ever. And a projector of 4500 will be about £500. Fake reviews for sure, claimimng unrealistic specs. However, for under £50, this should do the job, I use a Crenova for my kids, claiming 3000 lumens but I do not think it has more than 200, fine in a very dark room for kids to watch cartoons.
Normally I will suggest to look for a used, proper brand on ebay, but you will not find anything at this price, you are probably looking at £100-200.
I have got one a couple of month ago, it was on deal on amazon.. A native HD 720p for 47£, and I'm super satisfied for reference, is this one in amazon
Projector, BOMAKER GC555 Native 1280*720p Video Projector, 4000 Lux and Max 250'' Full HD 1080P Portable Projector with Carrying Bag, Compatible with HDMI/VGA/TF/AV/USB/PS4/TV Stick amazon.co.uk/dp/…QHK
Looking for a portable projector for camping trips. Any recommendations for sub £100?

Yep, just look at a few of the top reviewers and see their other reviews... same old story, many reviews on the same day, many odd Chinese branded crap over and over. So many reviews cannot be relied upon as the reviewers just say it's best toenail clipper ever made or the best wart remover, best 1000megawatt laser facial scrubber or best HDMI cable, despite them reviewing 5 others in the same week!

Quite right people are getting wise to these fake reviews.
personalprojector.co.uk/blo…ew/ interesting read comparing this projector to some known brand, lesser spec'd projectors

Did you buy that Xiaomi projector from banggood? I'm looking for a decent priced 1080p projector but don't want crappy brands claiming it's FHD when it's not and I quite like the look of the Xiaomi one.

It's 64 £s to me on Amazon.. You can apply the 10% off but that's still not the he price mentioned here.

I have one of these, they're not amazing but honestly hooked a Chromecast up to it and it really is not bad for the price I have watched many movies on this and I would actually recommend
