Why cold? Cheapest around!

I can only think it's people who have the time machines and maybe it's been cheaper in the past?! X)
Just hitting cold then, because that's the fashionable thing to do! Haha
Wonder what the total market is here, when I think of streaming I think of 1) PCs and 2) the built in services with say the PS4 and Xbone. PCs don't have a use because you can get your CPU or GPU doing the heavy lifting, for games consoles you'd likely use whatever the default platform is.

So this is for people who split out the streaming to a second PC (few people), or those who are streaming consoles that can't sustain a stream, say a Wii or a PS3. Might be why you're getting cold votes.
but nvidia cards for instance now have this tech included in the software. seems a little redundant if you can do it for free with no real impact on your game?

To stream PS4, Xbox One etc with no lag whatsoever?

I was under the impression that the Elgatos were the best for streaming all gaming devices!

this is to stream your console, using your pc, and it costs £124.99? seems to me that if you have that much money to burn just to stream or record a game, you probs should just buy a proper gaming rig and bin your console

That doesn't make any sense at all! If you want to stream seriously then Elgato is the way to go, you only have to read any of the tech articles about it. The built in streaming on PS4 and Xbone don't hold up apparently!

£125 won't get you much for a gaming rig!
I can only see this having use on the older consoles such as the PS3 and XBOX 360, but then you have to ask yourself why you're spending £124.99 on a capture card when you could put that towards a PS4/XBOX One and then just stream using the built-in Twitch app?
Meh to the pillocks who don't know what this is and vote cold. Good find, heat from me.
