No Zwift.

It does do zwift. But as it's fluid it won't automatically change the resistance.

That's correct, therefore is useless for Zwift.

In your opinion.

Lacking a resistance change does make it rather useless if wanting to use it on zwift unless you wish to cheat. Ultimately you'd just be cheating yourself.

I disagree. It only means exactly that, the resistance won't automatically change. It really depends on what you want to achieve. If it's just to track your relative improvements then it's totally fine. As for cheating yourself that's a load of rubbish as everyone on zwift is cheating in some way, different turbos, different calibration, etc. In the end we are all sitting in a garage on a turbo with no real world conditions anyway.
This CAN be used with zwift but I'm sure the purists will tell you that it's only worthwhile if you spend big money on a turbo or watt bike.

To get back on topic this is a decent smart fluid turbo with a direct drive selling for half the rrp after discount.

I guess his point is that units like the Tacx flow are cheaper and DO support auto adjustment on Zwift.
Just because its half its RRP price doesn't mean its a bargain vs newer models.
It should be called 'Smart'ish' coz its one way coms.

I've been on the look out for a "smart turbo" for a while. I've kept my eye on the Tacx Flow as it's likely the best (only) in its price range. I'm not too bothered by Halfords £50 off Tacx sale as Decathlon sell it at the same price.

But there's nothing more annoying than a smart training being "Smartish" but not actually Smart.

Not yet, I'm being tight-fisted though I am begining to wonder why and getting closer to just biting the bullet instead of wasting time over £20-or so that it might drop.

Had a chance to play with it?
It looks well worth the money. Deciding between Zwift or Bkool (because i think it works with bkool) would be my next delima.

I've bought another set of wheels off eBay for £40 so will put turbo tyre on it just need to find an 8 speed 11-30 cassette to put on it and then I'm away to go. I was going to get the £105 one as that's smart too but the sensors are attached to bike with electric ties so will need to cut them off but what sold me on the flow is that it adjusts resistance with zwift to mimic climbs. Also need to get ant+ or a dece t Bluetooth connector.

Don't think.itll drop in my opinion. U a member of British cycling or know someone who can pick it up for you? Saves 10% so paid £198 for it
