This is selling for £300 at Tesco, £250 at Amazon and Argos.
Also 4% Quidco available on Groupon deals.

This clever device brings IPL hair removal to the comfort of homes, and is suitable for most skin types and hair colours. The device uses a combination of intense pulsed light and radio frequency technology to target hair follicles right at the root, and with ongoing use should help produce a reduction in hair regrowth. A 7cm squared treatment window helps cover larger areas, and a sensor ensures the machine only operates when in full contact with the skin.

According to the small print, old love gardens are safer using a Black & Decker Strimmer

Yes that's all I found. Not really a review.

I think I am going to purchase it and try it out. At least we can test it together!

I have had IPL treatments on my underarms and they have definitely improved significantly. They do not grow back, possibly in smaller patches, meaning some hair follicles have been targeted and removed. The hair is progressively thinner than normal ones too.

I have also had lasering down below and my bikini line is fantastic now. I did only have 6 sessions on both removal methods so I wanted to upkeep this. And with so many IPL treatments (on Groupon) I don't want to travel to salons to get this procedure done.

It's the same with booking a day/time to get it done. So although it is fun and convenient for someone else to do it, the procedure of actually driving and arranging time around it is something I am not interested in. I'd rather do it at home myself.

Will be purchasing it shortly!

So where is the fun in having your bush pruned?

This deal is still on with Groupon for the next 5 days at £99 see

groupon.co.uk/dea…237

I have emailed their website to ask if they still sell them (they say they are 'out of stock') and also more importantly are they going to carry on manufacturing and selling the replacement cartridges as they only last 5,000 pulses then you need to buy a new one (£40 to £50).

So will you let us know how good it is?

Thanks for the link to the review, this is the first of what i assume will be many over the next 6 months but it does not say whether it works or not as it she has just started the treatment, the offer will have finished in a few days but thanks anyway.
This is what I asked Homemedics as I was a bit suspicious as to whether this is end of the range stock they are getting rid of :-
Questions and answers please as I am thinking of buying one of these and as they are quite expensive I need to know they are going to be around for a while and you will still be supporting them and the replacement cartridges.
1 - When was this particular model first introduced into the market
2 - Is this product still available to buy from yourselves as I notice you are out of stock
3 - What is the model or reference number of the replacement cartridges
4 - Do you stock the replacement cartridges, I have looked for them and can only find ones for the 'HoMedics mē my elōs replacement elōs cartridge' and also 'HoMedics mē replacement elōs cartridge - 6000 pulse'
5 - How much are the replacement cartridges 6 - How long do you envisage supporting this particular model i.e. manufacturing the replacement cartridges.
If you could itemise your answers in the same order and numbers as my questions please this would be most appreciated

Answers from Homemedics Support :-
In reference to your email about the Elle MacPhearson IPL hair removal system, we hope to be able to answer your questions.

Regarding the status of 'out of stock', we would like to inform you that we no longer sell our product through our official website, but through our Ebay store stores.ebay.co.uk/hom…ltd

The replacement cartridges model ELM-IPL101-EU, can be found online at for example Amazon, and the recommended retail price is between £45 - 60.

Our Elle MacPhearson IPL hair removal system comes with a two year warranty. Should anything happen with your product within the first year, any claim should be made with the retailer. The second year is with us. Should we for any reason stop producing the product within the two years, we will still be able to provide customers with support and advice.

Unfortunately, we do not have the answer for your first question, but we hope the information we have provided is satisfactory.

So the manufacturer (I presume they are) do not sell their own website but on their ebay shop see ebay.co.uk/itm…398 currently priced at £239.99
When entering their ebay shop and searching for their replacement cartridge model ref : ELM-IPL101-EU they do not sell them (why not?). In fact searching on Ebay for model ref : ELM-IPL101-EU and there are no results at all. Searching on Amazon and there are 2 results amazon.co.uk/s/r…-EU Blowfish and Amazon itself, why not Homemedics?
Is this an end of the line product that they are selling off at a third of the price with deals like Groupon, and when buying it will have a limited life as you cannot buy the replacement cartridges .... don't know on that one. Maybe the answer is but it on Groupon and then buy a couple of replacement cartridges off amazon while they are still available??
hope this helps.

for those still interested in this, I just came across this youtube review by a girl who is documenting her experiences with the device youtube.com/wat…66o

Thanks this is the same one as post #12 (3 up) and is the first one over a 6 months trial.

Took the plunge and bought one last week off groupon as a present, so will see when it arrives and start using it if it is any good?

Bought this about 4 weeks ago, couldn't find any reviews before buying but took the plunge while it was still on offer. I've just put a review on amazon of the results so far, hope it helps.

I've got this, have had many sessions...it is REALLY good...take the plunge!
