nice find

great price for a 10" netbook hot from me:thumbsup:

HOT! Pity I don't need one

Gets good reviews on the Bigpockets site (link below), theirs is a refurb with 12 months warranty for £139.99 + £6.99 delivery but it does ship with windows XP.

Cold from me, although the screen area is an improvement over the Acer Aspire One A150, it has disadvantages in other areas, cosmetically it is very unappealing...but most importantly it has a weak first-gen 1.6GHz Via C-7M instead of the Intel Atom chipset used in the majority of modern netbooks.

Great price, pity it doesn't have a web cam though.

Doesn't have integrated webcam, has 40gb less storage, less RAM, and a slower processor than the Aspire One thats been listed on here at the same price, personally I would go for the smaller screened 8.9" Aspire One over this any day.

Not my cup a tea.. The aspire one is better in all aspects.. 1 inch of screen is no difference.. However, Since this website is about good deals, I would consider this a good deal on its own, not comparing it with the acer aspire one, so for that reason a fragile Hot from me.

+1
or the dell mini9 currently £167 fronm the outlet includes 3G and no noisy fans like the AAO

Despite all the negative comments above, would this do for a portable word processor ? Is a 10' screen big enough to use Word on ??

Well not really, just advising people with my technical knowledge, nothing personal, just that netbooks lets face it are already underpowered compared to laptops, naturally because they require lower heat and power consumption and are greatly portable.

Would you really want to consider for the same price this netbook that has nearly half the processing power of most modern netbooks? Has half the memory? Has 3/4s the storage space? And no integrated webcam.

I would much more appreciate my comments to be considered as a Which report rather than being negative, its being helpful.

Yeah it should be fine but i wouldn't wanna be writing a novel on it!

Good looking netbook, with a good size screen, but even at this low price level, there are suprisingly, better and more powerful (and therefore more useful) machines. So, whilst this may be a good deal for this particular netbook, if you want to spend £150, you could get even more machine for your money!

Computers since the 80s have been good enough for use as word processors so the technical specs wouldn't be a problem. On the other hand laptops tend to come with pretty poor keyboards and I don't know what the quality of the keyboard on this is like and how bad a keyboard you can tolerate.

Cold from me - AA1 is now available from several places @ £150, and is a far superior machine.

Not great value for money, best to spend another £50 and buy something decent !

Hi can someone point me in the direction of the Acer netbook model on here please.

I've searched for Acer, netbook, 149.99 and nothing comes up, apart from a Tesco one a few months ago.

Cheers

Edit, found this one. Unless any better for the money?

The last one I remember being on here at £149.99 was ebuyer; don't know if they still have stock though
