The solar panel on this is useless. One of the images has text that states 1 day of solar charging will generate enough battery power to run the LEDs for 3 hours. Even if we assume 1 day just means 8 hours of daylight (I bet it means a full 24 hours) the power draw of those LEDs will be very very low. Not enough to put any meaningful charge into a smartphone.

Looks like he did read it properly as your evidence confirms lol!

As per all of these type devices with small solar panels, they might as well not have the solar. Last time I worked out the details it would of taken something like 9 days of full sun to recharge the pack fully without any other use.

What omg confirmed is that if it takes a full day of sun just to get a couple of hours of led lights then it's a bit of a gimmick

At this capacity it would take couple months to recharge fully... just saying.

If you after emergency flashlight, just get a wind up one.

These are absolute garbage. I have one and found that it actually depleted the charge while attempting to charge in the sunlight. I ended up masking the panel to use it as a standard charger.
Sun-generated heat kills battery cells, Li-ION can even explode. Very dangerous combination.
Yep these combined solar panel / battery packs are utter garbage. Mate had a smaller capacity one at a festival we were at in Portugal and in a 10-12 hour full summer sun day, it wasn't getting anywhere near 10% charged. The panels are just too small and not efficient enough.

If you really want to do solar charging, get one of the fold out panels you can attach to your tent / backpack. I have one and it can charge a 20000mAh battery to nearly 75% on a decent British summer day.
