Original Poster

yes i had been looking for an ok laptop to search the net and such on. This one was very good for the price... there was one at tesco that about £60 more and only had a 350GB hard drive.

This deal is also at pcworld.co.uk/mar…id=

Which is PC world but they have to be collected instore and all locations i tried in my area had sold out.
it was was £329.00 at pcworld and before that £469.99

Nice find

Thanks i thought so =)

hope every one likes it also

Single Core CPU.

[FONT=Verdana]Spec wise it is quite good but the glaring point that puts it down is the CPU - but at the same time it will be more powerful than a Netbook, running with an Atom CPU, and also if you factor in the larger capacity hard disk, the additional memory (it can take up to a maximum of 4GB from what I can remember), the DVD Writer & the six cell battery it's not to bad.

I'm going to have to take the neutral vote on this one I'm afraid but I'll see if I can hunt out some review links and post them in later on.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

I'm not!

Has no-one been reading this site this week,. the place has been drowning in cheap machines!

To be honest, I think this is not a good deal. Vista Basic (not cheap upgradeable) single core Celeron, GMA 4500 graphics shared, no HDMI out, and eMachines. This combination is not exiting. For this price I want at least dual core and W7 installed. You can get 500gb hdd relatively cheap now if that is what you need.

For the first time, I think we pretty much agree! :-)

Considering Dual Core Pentium laptops have been posted on here at less cost ,albeit with smaller hard drives, but with Vista Home Premium and a cheapish upgrade to Windows 7, this is not a good deal.
