My Asda had piles of these by the door - might be useful for those who can't get the Morrisons deals,
I've searched their on-line site but can't find this model

I got one of these from the asda near pudsey on saturday afternnon. an absolute bargain. i was looking for something for my son who's off to uni soon. Its perfect for him, office stuff, msn, internet and facebook, runs them all so well. asda even said to me that i could take it home and try it and if i thought it wasn't suitable, i could return it for a full refund. I thought 1gb RAM wouldn't be enough for windows 7 but its ample for this device.

its an Acer under the bonnet, by the way.

sounds good to me

?

Whelpin, the model number of the laptop has changed since the Hot deal was listed. It was originally listed as a E325 laptop.

what a rubbish machine.. not worth the money.

ive had 2 of the e267 models which were at £267 but in the first 2 days each time the usb port shorted out when the mouse was put in.....back today with second one and wouldnt buy emachines again just for that reason otherwise not bad for price played my hd videos from camcorder which was nice ...mouse works fine on 3 other machines we have access to so its not a killer mouse before anyone asks lol

I'm with you on this. It will struggle without at least another 1GB of RAM

That's what I thought before I went and got one but honestly its fine. It will never play any sort of game but that's not what its for. As I said in my previous comment, if all its used for is simple documents and Internet etc, its a bargain at £275. It will never compete with an i5 or a C2D but its around half the price of those.

Seems good.

win98 with this laptop? lol no way

Try reading the whole thread first, " the model number of the laptop has changed since the Hot deal was listed. It was originally listed as a E325 laptop" which had win98 on it.

Its a good budget machine, not so easy to get a hold of parts though, which usually laptops will need some in some point of its life. like someone said its really an acer. rebranded to sell cheaper without damaging the acer name for price. lg did the same from philips
