Just found this on-line and thought its a good buy! an emergency mobile phone charger to fit your phone for only 30p in Maplin's online clearance. Not too sure if its the same price in stores? Each one is different for the makes of phones but for only 30p you can't go wrong! Would come in very useful for the "outdoor type person" this summer as their phone will always have a charge.

- Instant power for your mobile phone when you need it most
- Disposable emergency back-up battery charger for your mobile phone
- Up to 90 minutes talk time/480 minutes standby time
- Works instantly - no mains power required
- Easy to plug in - take it anywhere!
- Use as many times as required until battery runs out
- Great emergency back-up power
- Simultaneously charges phones battery

apparently you can use it many times, just until the battery runs about. But for the price, you cant go wrong

went to maplins today in wimbledon, i think i saw this but not at this price. so i dont think its nationwide.

Useful for those horror film moments where having a mobile phone without a dead battery would spoil the plot...

Also as often seen in 24 in Kim Bauers hands.

Not a bad idea I suppose for something like a festival perhaps judging by the queue at the IOW festival for people to use the phone charging facilities. Can't go wrong for 30p.

These were definitely 30p instore in Wolverhampton, but they didn't have one for the newer (smaller) Nokia adapters :0(
Had the older nokia and about 4 other different types, so might be useful for someone?

If it was 30p it would be hot but it's £2.99 delivery online unless you're spending £35+

saw these in store at Edmonton branch last week

anyone ever thought of the environment ? these disposable ones are nonsense.
You can get ones that use AA batteries so that you dont have to throw them away. I bought one from dealextreme for less than £3 delivered. I use it currently with my rechargeable batteries (the hybrid variety). I'm happy to not contribute to the landfill....

I rest my case.

Thank the lord for progress! I dont think I could have carried this around for much longer

But you are quite happy to contribute to global warming and nuclear waste by using mains electricity.

Won't someone think of the children? :whistling:

Did buy that one first from gadgetshop.com for £5 !! was useless. Didnt work.

For ones you can put batterys in , you could get them from CPC [farnel] .There were 2 types , AA & AAA . Just slide the lid off and put 4 batterys in , slide the lid on . It has a female USB socket at the end and you plug your device cable into it , as you would from your PC Will charge mp3 players ,phones , etc .Ideal , and when the batterys ran down ...............just run them up again !

Just bought 4 of these from Maplins in Milton Keynes, hopefully keep me going for a couple of festivals!

I just bought the last 3 Nokia one's from Newport, Isle of Wight Maplin's. They still had motorola ones in stock. Thanks.
