Featuring a 40" screen, full high definition and a USB recoding function, this Emotion LCD TV is equipped to become the centrepiece of your viewing set up. The screen features built-in Freeview, as well as digital noise reduction to ensure the digital pictures stay pin sharp.

At the back of the unit there are three HDMI connection sockets, as well as a SCART socket plus digital co-axial output - for connection to a surround sound amplifier. Most impressively there's also a USB port allowing timed recording from the electronic programme guide, one touch recording plus the ability to pause live TV by recording onto the storage device plugged into the port.

There's also a sleep timer and a parental lock.

nice looking tv but the freeview reciever/reception is rubbish unless your in a very strong signal area.
i sent mine back and have a perfect pic on my LG now, cold from me

eMotion = UMC? Google seems to think so. Any good?

This one was on HUKD at the same price back in December - interesting posts if you look at that deal.

thinking of getting this as a general tv to use with sky and all that stuff (not HD sky)

not too worried about all the extra that higher mhz stuff

does anyone have any updated reviews on this from the Dec posts or anyone brought one recently.

cheers G

Looks good!

I got one when they were on offer in December and will be purchasing another one. These are fantastic value for money. Dont miss out !!!!!!!

Hot Hot Hot. Excellent TV. Better than my old Samsung which is now used for the xbox while this is my main TV.8)

Hellonick, you must be the unluckiest guy on HUKD. You post your first deal and it goes to minus 14 degrees, then 6 days later someone else posts exactly the same deal and it goes red hot (currently around 600 degrees).

Sorry, not much of an introduction to HUKD for you.:(

I noticed that too, shows what a fickle bunch the HUKD's regulars can be at times. But that isn't why I am commenting here. I have just got an email from Sainsburys about their easter deals. It has this TV reduced from £299.99 down to £239.99 tinypic.com/r/1…g/7 But when you click on the link for the TV in the email it takes you to the Sainburys website and it shows at £299.99. So I rang Sainburys just now and explained they sent me an email advertising the TV at £239.99 and they said that they will investigate and ring me back. I wonder if they will sell me the TV at £239.99? I wasn't that interested at £299.99 but I could be tempted at the lower price...

Wow, if its not a typo, that will be an astonishing price!!

Just seen the email. I'll have it @ £239, not if its £299

E-motion are indeed UMC, they are samsung panels and are ok budget tvs really. you get your £300 worth but as you know for a bit more you can get somehting a bit higher spec. If your budget is low then id go for this. 1 year warrenty with sainsburys. Personally i think the quality is pretty good.

As for the £239.99 i cant imagine them going for it but its worth a go. after all you cant lose anything, We have a few in our Lincoln store and more to come, ring them before hand to check the stock levels. I work there so i know the lincoln stock (if you are wondering)

Just FYI the signal you get now with our "Digital" signal will only improve, If you are receiving from a relay then you will be getting a weakir signal although at the end of the switchover the power will be amped up. In lincoln the signal is only at 30% and will be put upto full whack after the change over. Hopefully everone will get a good signal then.
