Not always/necessarily, etc, so I'd go with 50/50 on that front unfortunately ...

But I hear what you're saying though, lol.

i saw a documentary about intelligence and it concludes that emotional intelligence is far more important than academic intelligence and i can understand why.
Would have to pay me to read this.

I’m not sure I agree. Working most of my life in a corporate world the most senior director level leaders tend to have high EQ. I find that it’s the middle to exec level management where EQ may be lacking in my personal experience.
Thanks very much. Heat added.

I would luvvvvvvvvvvvv to know the name of that documentary actually, as I wouldn't mind searching for it, etc, and watching it myself?, lol, thanx.

it was a few years ago and it was on the BBC i think. it was really interesting as it also had the well known marshmallow test, which i thought was great.

effectively it examines whether people who can understand human behaviour, that is those who are emotionally intelligent, were able to use this intelligence to their advantage to be successful in society by working out how other people behave and changing their outwardly behaviour likewise to get what they want and go where they want.

from experience, i find that emotional intelligence is very important when you have to interact with people day to day, as it is an important skill that you need to interact well and get approval from others. if you can work out how people will behave, you can use that to your advantage.
Thanks OP 🌞
Proper waste of time.
