This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

7.1 on BGG, hard to find a reasonable NBP to compare it to, some for £30ish on ebay and some more on other sites so not bothered putting one. Zatu list rrp as £38.76 (which is similar to the ebay prices).

In Empires, you represent a colonial European nation that is competing to gain the most support. Support is won by supplying your people with goods; goods are produced when your people work in your territories. You can gain people, territories, goods, and supporters by winning wars. To win wars, you must pay gold to raise armies, and gold can be earned by winning wars and by selling goods.

All turns are taken simultaneously, and there are no restrictions on trading. At any point in the game, you may trade anything: people, territories, goods, gold, player powers, etc. The game takes place over a series of rounds. At the end of the final round, the player with the most support wins.

I guess only boardgamers will realise this but that's an insane price for what you get - medium sized game at mini-game price.

I think the art/design/theme and the name (not many games with 'empire' inthe title are they? ha!) go against it and it gets overlooked. This price is very tempting but I don't think 'my lot' would play it because of the theme and aesthetics. Heat though.

I was amazed by the amount of 'stuff' in it. I'm a bit the same tbh, I think it's incredible value but don't think it would make it to the table very often.
If anyone is interested, this is what you get in the box (courtesy of BGG)
