nice find! voted hot

good find. I was paying £9.99 for 50 on play.com which was the cheapest.

Ordered four packs, cheers

The -r's are here for £0.50 extra, maybe the title could be changed to reflect this as people who are only after -r's will be immediately turned away:

Can anyone comment on the quality please?

EDIT - Oh, and voted HOT, cheers edi.

I don't actually know myself (never felt the need to), but is there any difference between the + and -?

There used to be, but isn't really anymore.

A lot of standalone players only write to + media though.

My dad's DVD player is quite old. It reads DVD-R/-RW and DVD-RAM, but not DVD+R/+RW.

These are cheap, just hope theyre of an ok quality too.

Voted hot regardless

Top deal, its the only DVD disc that work with our laptop....

Welcome to HUKD SEMIOVALE

Just so you know, the 16x DVD-R's 25pk are £3.99 as well....

Not sure how good the dye is in these...or what dye it is, but maybe someone can post the details.

Hi,
Reviews on media here:
DVD+R's

DVD-R's
videohelp.com/dvd…dia

The +R's seem to be a good media, not so good for -R's. Saying that, only 1 review for each so its far from conclusive.

sin

This looks pretty good for 50 as well - printable too £7.99
]http//ww…-49

or 25 printable DVD -R for £3.73

No they're not. SVP are always the cheapest. £5.99 for 50 Rivision disks (16X). Never had a coaster from these.

Depends how many your buying cause you don't pay p&p with play

Free p&p on orders over £15 from Amazon whereas with SVP, you've to pay for delivery

Apparently these are fakes, load this page and search (ctrl f) for emtec:

My reading of that page leads me to believe they are made by Ricoh.

same here, i can hardly see a shop like amazon selling fakes

You may find the Market Place sellers selling fakes, so don't let your guard down even if buying through Amazon.

I'm not talking about amazon marketplace, i mean direct from amazon. The disks are being sold direct from them anyway though.

I know you'll prob get some fakes and that through marketplace cause it's really just like ebay when you're shopping there.

SVP only charge 99p delivery most weekends for orders over £30 making the disks cheaper and they are trusted reliable disks unlike these ones. Very quick delivery too and customer service is first class. SVP every time for me.

How does that make them cheaper - 125 disks here is £16.95 with free delivery and amazon nearly always posts next day by courier even with super saver delivery if the items in stock.

... Why would you wanna spend £30  , unless of course there was something else you were needing then i suppose it would a tiny bit

OK - Let me do the math for you :whistling:

125 disks (Amazon) is £16.95 = 13.56p per disk

250 Rivision disks (SVP) is £29.96 + 99p delivery = 12.38p per disk

Of course you don't have to spend all the £30 at SVP on disks. They do great sleeves (100 cloth lined double sided for 99p!).

Every little helps :giggle:

Not to mention SVP's brilliant customer service and no-quibble returns.

Gotta say Amazon returns and service has always been first class in my experience and I buy an awful lot of stuff off them

I agree. I wasn't belittling Amazon's CS. Just wish the likes of NTL, BT, BG, BA etc could take a leaf out of their book ;-)

Yea ok, hence when i said unless you're needing something else (like more disks)... not that many people need 250 disks, me for one

Second that. My main use of DVD-R are to backup stuff recorded from my HTPC and 50 disks last me a while. I don't need 250 disks and I don't need another dvd drive. Plus in Northern Ireland, SVP requires £50 spend for their 99p delivery that would be what 400 disks? So unfortunately, this is rarely useful for me. SVP has limited choice for non-media and non-drives (one thing they sell I could buy once in a while are memory cards but their price are not that great, same for their limited range of computer hardware), Amazon on the other hand has a lot of stuff one can buy to reach £15 (or maybe I am just a book nuts).

Please this is in no way a comment against SVP. By all account, they are a well run company, they have excellent service, their medias are very competitively priced. But they are at their best for heavy users.
