I believe the ones at Asda for £1 are larger bottles. 280ml, if I'm not mistaken. The missus bought 2 two weekends ago.

Great stuff this, im making my own this year, im growing scottish bonnet and orange hab's, i love growing chilli's, also growing the 7th hottest chilli in the world, Etna F1.

Top tip:
Add a little butter and splash of Encona to your baked beans for a little kick to your beans on toast. You heard it here first!!

Its 69p at home & bargains but the nearest h & b for me is 30 miles away!

Weaned myself onto this stuff via pourage over fried egg sarnies as a 7 year old, a staple in any caribbean kitchen cupboard. Little heads up - tip bottle upside down and back. If runny put back on shelf, needs to be sludge like, like tomato ketchup use to be when you had to slap its bottom. Loads of chilli/pepper type sauces out there, but as the bottle says "Encona Original".

You Da Man!!

Mix with mayonnaise, dip chips in it = win. Chilli and Mayonnaise from chicken shops is Ilford's finest export.

bit vinigary IMHO - give Dave's Insanity a go but be careful an extra drop or two can ruin your food, personally like Jonkanoo heat about right for me and nice taste

Sorry chief - been doing this for years (as probably lots of people have!). Try it with scrambled eggs too.

Thanks theserpent. Checked at home last night, and the ones for £1 at Asda are indeed 220ml.

I was in Homebase on Monday. They had a big pile of Nando's hot Peri-peri sauce and Marinade (twin-packs) for 50p.
Quite a satisfying kick !
I only bought 1 pack - so off to get some more (BBD Nov 2011)

Always heat for chilli sauce , thanks geezer

Not tried it with scrambled eggs; I would have thought it would overpower the delicate flavour but i'll give it a go! It does go very well with boiled eggs too though.

Try it with stilton and honey in a sandwich. I'm pretty sure you've heard that first here!
