not quite - netto's promo material openly quotes that their included batteries have less than half the capacity of the play.com items :
play.com = 2500mAh
netto = 1200mAh
if the user has a requirement to power high-drain items such as digital cameras, the play.com item is more suitable, and reasonably priced.

Just to let others know.

Charging time: 3 hours

Compatibility: AA & AAA (AA's Supplied)

Nice find edi :thumbsup:

Great find, recently bought this exact item from Morgan Computers for £11.99.

£8.99 delivered voted hot.

Also note that you can buy for all these AA + AAA chargers adaptors now so you can pop the AA or AAA cell into a shell which turns them into C or D batteries, so essentially besides the PP3 9v batteries, these chargers cover the main AA, AAA and C or D batteries just fine with the addition of these shells.

Note the batteries are available on their own for £4.99

Those "shells" can be bought from Maplins.
Got some myself and they certainly save on having to buy C & D size batteries.

Actually the one I got from Morgan Computers for £11.74 I have just realised is different and actually a better deal *IF* you need one for car use as well.

It is Encore the same, but isn't the "classic charger", its the "fast charger", includes 4 AA 2500mah NIMH the same, all batteries plug into the front, plus as well as a AC adaptor it comes with a car charger as well.

Only good however if you live within reach of a Morgan Computers like I do, not sure of postage charges.

but also remeber that if you buy the 'fast charger' type then it inputs more but this can be a good or bad, if u need them real quick then its a must but it does shorten battery life so if its going to be used for something like a wii controller/remote then slow is good enough as u only need 2
voted hot as its decent price also id like to point out that lidl normaly sell tronic batterys/charger the charger is 270mha input and is i think £4 and the batterys are £2 for a pack of 4 (or 2 c/d and 1 block) they come in like every few months worth getting, from expreience they are 1 of the best ive seen.

3 hours to charge what exactly?
If it’s 4 AA 2500 mAh then that’s not bad for the price.
If it’s 2 AAA 800 mAh then it’s slooooooooooooow.
If they don’t say then assume the worst.

As they don’t even pretend to claim it’s a fast charger I would assume the worst.
