Edit - not sure why postage cost was changed to that but there is a £4 delivery option

There may be cheaper led strips with alexa that are longer, but this is a much nicer bit of kit and is fully encased in rubber. May not be for all but it's what I wanted and this from scan is £10 cheaper than the next cheapest I found.

With an IP65 rating this smart LED neon flex kit is suitable for a wide range of both indoor and outdoor applications. The 12V RGB neon flex comes supplied in a kit form, containing a 3m smart LED Neon flex reel, 5A adapter and a Wi-Fi & IR Controller. The Neon flex can replicate 16 million colour variations that can easily be controlled via the downloadable Ener-J application for smart mobile phones and tablets. The Neon flex can also be controlled by voice - it is compatible with recognised smart home hubs; amazon Alexa, google home and IFTTT. The Neon Flex contains 72 5050 LEDs per metre and features designated cutting points every 3cms. Extremely versatile - can be Installed in a number of methods. Works on a 2.4G Wi-Fi frequency.

Voice Activated & Alexa Echo ControlCompatible with Alexa, Google Assistant. Remote control the strip light with your phone Wirelessly. Voice Control your light by Alexa echo and Google assistant to turn on/off the light, set colours or change brightness.

What’s best way to go glue to a plastered wall on ceiling
Hot! Looks good for outdoors. For indoors, a good one is Sonoff, paid about £20 for the 2m, but for £25 you get the 5m one. Sonoff is a reliable brand. I've got mine from Aliexpress the very next day it came out, now may be cheaper, sold by Sonoff store. Off course, for indoors only. Has wifi, no need for smart plug and connects to Alexa or Google and lights in rhythm with music as well.

I used 3M easy remove strips but they come with little plastic mounts in the packet, but I would say not enough for 3 metres

For normal led ones, the govee ones on amazon are quite reasonable

I agree, at the time I've got this one, with Wi-Fi and some other features, most on Amazon were quite basic, this one was the most advanced. I've paid about £8 for one on Amazon, but it's just a basic one and needs a smart plug to operate it with your voice. Govee ones seem to deliver pretty much the same as Sonoff now. I also wanted it for the brand, as it is reliable and also have the app already, as I have their smart plugs.

Wow yes I can see the difference now, much thicker so usage would be for something where it would be a little more prominent I guess.

Far thicker but also much nicer on the eye and a much more consistent light. I've ran mine around the top of the skirting board behind sofas facing up for some ambient light. Just gotta wait for darkness to see how good they really are

Unfortunately this one is not addressable.

I did want addressable pixel strips but couldn't find any that were also alexa compatible
