Description

Product Description

The MiHome Smart Plugs receive commands from the MiHome Gateway and does not send a confirmation of action back to it. The Smart Plugs can be controlled via the MiHome app or web browser using the Gateway. The Smart Plugs can also be used with our other features such as timers. As well as timers they can also be controlled with IFTTT, this allows you to turn them on using the weather, ESPN, Facebook to name but a few. It also means they can be used in conjunction with the Phillips Hue and Nest. The Smart Plugs are compatible with both Amazon Alexa and Google Home via the Gateway.

Note :For this product to connect to the internet a MiHome Gateway is required

Even better, if you click on 'new and used', you'll find these 'used very good' for £3.39 from Amazon warehouse.

Teckin are WiFi meaning no hub required and they're also 2-way so the app can check if the switch is on or off. With these being 1-way rf if the "on/off" command from the hub is lost then the device/hub become out of sync which can be a pain. I'd go with teckin unless you're planning on getting a lot of devices then I'd choose Ikea as although they use a hub they're zigbee so less effort placed on your home router. I wouldn't recommend these.

It says unavailable but can still be ordered. Anyone know if this will work with a Xiaomi Aqara hub?

I cancelled my order. Didnt realise you had to buy another hub. It won't work with hue hub or built in hub in my echo
they were selling these off at Homebase, though stock by now may be nearly non existent
Just to confirm that these do NOT work with the Xiaomi Aqara hub, you will need a Mi Home hub.
