Check out drills from Clas Ohlson good quality I've has one for over 5 years and still as good as the day I bought it mind you I've only used it twice lol.

How do people feel about the use of Ni-Cd batteries on these, vs. Ni-Mh or even Lithium Ion?

I would never buy Ni-Cd again L-ion all the way as they hold their charge and are always ready to use. If yoou pre-plan your life then Ni-Cd are ok, but who does that!

That's very much how I feel about it - so am surprised that Ni-Mh still seems to sell, and am shocked that Ni-Cd is still available given its serious drawbacks which have been known and understood for twenty odd years at least!
