Would this be any good for spraying fence ??

personally i would buy a 5 litre pump sprayer if you have got quite a bit of fencing to do,if you have only got a bit of fencing then brush or roller would be the way to go

I bought this a few months ago.

The paint needs to be watered down a lot for it to work ok, but major problem for me is the noise. (edited)

Buy a brush it's cheaper and you'll get better results

Can anyone recommend a better one than this please?

consensus seems to be suck it up and use a brush for better results or get a manual sprayer.

There are some fans of these, but a "good" one seems debatable from 40 - 120 quid. It does seem a personal preference, but there are plenty moaning about the quality in return for time saved.

There have been a couple of "wagner" branded ones put up this week

One of the comment says everything ..

I’ve just bought this and returned it. Utterly crap! Wish I’d seen this first! Like you I tried to water down the ronseal, and then ran it through a filter to clear lumps. Then ran whole tank of water to clean, no issues, soon as the filter paint went it, it failed! Disgusting that a year later they’re still selling this sh1t"

I have literally just finished doing 12 panels with this. Easy to use. Do the prep first, masking tape, paint covers and the like. I did think it was utterly useless at first but I mixed stain to the wrong viscosity. Once I had the correct mixture this thing was awesome. After the panels I then used it to spray 8m concrete breeze blocks wall. For the price this is without doubt one of the best bargains I've bought.

My wife used this as a breast pump by mistake, she's a 34GG now, but only on one side because she realised in good time.

Plus top tip...check what is behind the fence before you use the spray method...next doors car might look different by the time you finish.

I saved myself at least an hour using one of these instead of a brush. I used the time wisely - cleaning my paint off the neighbours patio

Yes. I use a better quality one to spray ACF50 into hard to reach areas of my motorcycle following cleaning. Much better than using an aerosol can.

Sadly someone's need for my motorcycle, exceeded what they perceived as my need.
