grrrrrrrrrrrr picked this up from there for £5.99 yesterday heat given

Had these from some bargain shop for similar price, seem to be good batteries even in high drain stuff. hot.

bought some Energizer batteries from Tesco. put them in my blood pressure monitor and they registered at half power from new! I emailed Energizer about 4 weeks ago, the best they've managed is an apology for the delay. basically, they're not interested. rubbish batteries, imo

Not voting either way; for me it's Duracell or nothing.

These batteries are far superior to Duracell. Not had any of these leak whereas as the Duracell ones have always leaked. Especially a worry when in kids toys!!

I usually buy (duracell) procell and have never had a leak; I find these equal in performance.

According to this story, a rechargeable D battery was found to have a C cell inside (initially mistaken for AA).

Great batteries, never had one leak - unlike the 'Other ones 'which leaked and killed my son's insulin pump, could have been a very serious problem. Medtronic - the pump company - have stopped supplying the 'Other ones' and now supply Energizer. As the pack says 'No Leaks Guaranteed' - Enough said!

Note: Click and collect can be at Ryman who also offer them at £5.99, so more expensive.

You are talking about the Energizer NiMh rechargeable D cell, and it's a sub-C cell inside not an AA. These are alkaline cells, and they are fine, pretty much the same capacity as all the other branded alkaline cells, there's not much to choose between them.

Not good for radio sax mics. They last only half as long as duracell plus power. Still, they are cheap enough.

Shame my local one is a fair way away, great deal mind

Thank you . Ordered

Thank you, lots of batteries ordered.

Budget Batteries have just brought out some good value battery bundles in the run up to xmas. Too early if you ask me to mention xmas yet but the prices are good. The "Essential" bundle has 36 AA's and 36 AAA's for just £10.20. Mind this is before postage.
