I wonder if there is a charger that can do a charge from 10 minutes fast charge right through to an overnight trickle charge ? That way I could by dirt cheap 2900mah batteries for my flash and keep the stay-charge ones for good on trickle charge.

That will do me, 4 AA and 4 AAA underneath with individual setting and a 10/10 review.

Still a great price for this charger above though at £10, especially with all the batteries it can charge.
I have had this charger for about 2 years also from Wilkinsons but was dearer at the time.
It has a flip lid with a press button to open so nice and easy
Along with charging the batteries it will also tell you if the batteries are "bad" so you can throw them away.
Battery indicator also shows when charging and when full.
Only negative, you must charge in pairs you cant charge a single battery you have to do either 2 or 4.
Really great and so pleased with mine.
I use it quite a lot having a child with batteries in toys.

Great to keep inhouse for xmas as well

Agreed. The only downside is that they do have to be charged in pairs like googley has said
