Really low capacity, these must be AA cells in a D cell sized package.
AA battery in a big empty case
Yup, cold. No point in buying D rechargables this low capacity when you can just use AAs and buy a half a dozen AA to D cases for two or three quid.

I think youre right. Terrible capacity should be up around 10000mah. Cold.

True, would rather go for these even though over twice the price per battery: EBL 4 Pack 10000mAh D Size Rechargeable Batteries High Capacity Ni-MH D Batteries: amazon.co.uk/EBL…YHA

39738514.jpgMost likely something like this but in an energiser skin.
Never had much luck with d rechargeables. I have some Mr Beams outside lights which take four. Against my ethics I bought alkaline d cells as I was getting fed up with recharging them every other week. They have been up for about a year now!

Well it’s alerted me to the fact you can get AA to D battery adaptors so presumably can get other types too. Just bought a set l.How have I never seen these before. Nice one!

I use 4x Lloytron 3000mAh rechargeable Ds in my Mr Beams lights which last the winter, but they're only used / come on about once a week when i put the rubbish bins out - got them for £1.50 per battery a few years back from: 7dayshop.com/pro…-x2

They really aren't worth the hassle. I tried the double AA to D adapters as well and they ruin the AA's by draining one AA to the point that you need a dumb charger to resurrect it.
Any recommendations for a decent D charger?
