All supermarkets are offering this type of deal..

Were they the old long style ones or the short stubby ones?

So its still a good deal. 5 for 40p = 8p per bulb - same as Morrisons 6 for 48p.
Why are people voting cold. Its a Hot deal if you have a Co-op near you.
Hot from me.

Many thanks, was beginning to wonder why bother submitting deals which are good, Just because other supermarkets have a similar deal. No need for cold votes at all.

i have not voted by the way...

I bought some today, on the basis that all the other deals I'd found were only for the 8w / 40w versions. Took the opportunity to stock up on the brighter fella's.

Well I'll vote hot for anyone who finds 20w BC spirals at a discount price - I'd say 100w BC is the "standard" bulb they need to replace.

If I don't use 75w incandescent bulbs now, why am I going to use the energy-saving equivalent?

Tesco had a label for 20w BC throughout their recent campaign ..... but I never did see a single bulb. When I asked, they said they had no intention of "re-stocking" 20w BC and any new ones would be ES!! :whistling:

Without getting into the Energy Saving LBs are *** - does anyone know of any that you can get cheap that are

I can help you on number 3: NO ES bulbs can be used in conjunction with dimmers.
