Its an egg that will switch sockets and lights off and on automatically when your in the room seems a good price says free Delivery but you may have to spend over £10. They have extra sockets at £1.96
maplin.co.uk/p/e…7qt .Have no idea how well these work but worth a punt at that price.

Same price on Amazon, looks a good bit of kit for the money

I bought one of these 12 months ago. At this price is a bargain as I paid £30 I think. You can set it so it turns off when the is no motion in the room and back on when the is motion. Or you can just push the button on the egg as we do and this turns of all the electrics that have a standby light. The power block has 3 sockets that are controlled by the egg and two that are on all the time so it's handy.

I did have a problem after 3 months and when reported I was sent a new block. But to be honest I don't know if it was just me. But it shows the company, who I think are a small firm in Scotland, are honest and worth dealing with.

Sorry just noticed this is just the one socket version, I have the 5 socket version but works the same. You could plug a standard extension into this one though couldn't you.

Same price on Amazon, if you prefer them.

Extra socket £2 ! maplin.co.uk/p/e…7qt wonder if they would ever work with other systems...

The egg has arrived, and is working well.

Can you get yours to turn stuff back on? I've tried lots of combinations with no luck - the instructions are of limited help.

thanks

yes it will you have to hold down the button on the egg until it flashes then turn the knob on the bottom

Thanks, Jay - I must still be doing something wrong. This is what I'm doiung:

1. I hold down the top button on the egg until it starts flashing red and green
2. I turn the knob on the bottom until it clicks to 15 minutes
3. I press the top button once and it gives me a confirmation buzz

The pir seems to sense when I have left after a short time out but not when I'm back. Driving me nuts!

Thanks again.

Sounds like your doing it the same as me ,Mine will not turn the sockets on automatically if they have recently turned off ,they have to be off for maybe 15 mins or more? to be honest I find the auto on a bit of a pain if I pop in the sitting room to say pick up my phone or keys then the tv and the whole lot come on .handy for lights
