Make sure you bring something to entertain the kids - there won't be much entertainment on the pitch unless they're into comedy!

LOL the England Ladies are actually a very good team, they smashed the World Cup qualifiers 10 wins, 0 loses, 0 draws. 52 goals for, 1 against.

I saw the USA Ladies during the UK Olympics and they are also a good team.

paying to watch womens football?

It down south....surprise!!

Id watch 11 women playing football no problem.....oh i already am at Cardiff City ......

I hope that the people calling out the first comment as sexist are actually buying tickets to this and not just moaning on the internet about inequality in sport.

Heat but it's going to be freezing on the pitch

I'd love to take the family to this - great deal. Women's football has come on light years in the last decade. Shame it's on a Friday evening - almost impossible to get there in time with the kids after school unless you're within a decent radius.

lol.. seriously though, lighten up - I'm sure you'll have a great time!

Two words..... Alex Morgan
That's plenty of entertainment out on the pitch.

I'm actually contemplating taking my kids, but will make decision closer to the date of the game. Stadium MK is only 15 mins away from me.

Women's football matches in this country would get crowds of over 50,000 in the years after WWI. In fact it got so popular the FA in their infinite wisdom acted to instigate a ban in 1921 - which they managed to maintain for 50 years.

Full story on BBC website.

Heat for the price. Can't make it myself but I went to see them play against Sweden at Hartlepool (after fleeing down the A19 after going to a Sunderland Ladies game!). Great atmosphere, good result and they drew a bigger crowd than the Hartlepool men's team!

Shame it's not nearer, for this price it would be a good fun night I think, don't usually watch football but the England Ladies team have done amazingly well.

Anyone know what the car parking is like at the stadium. Coach some girls football think this would be a nice treat for some of them

Plenty of space for parking at the stadium, though generally they charge between £7 & £10 per vehicle.
Also lots of free parking in the industrial estates around the stadium.
You could also risk parking in Asda or Ikea car-parks, though they claim they will hand out a fine if caught.

Just got our tickets - my football playing girls will be thrilled, thank you

i was at the final for the USA vs Japan at Wembley ( womens final ) for the 2012 Olympic Games.

best game of football i've watched in decades. tackles being shrugged off instead of the usual dramatics we see in the mens games. end to end football, loads of action.

you sexist page 3 drooling slug!!!

LOL.
Nothing like attacking a stereotype with a stereotype.
Womens football is improving every year, but I can watch a more skillful game on a Saturday afternoon week in week out.

A female footballer almost won goal of the year in 2014, narrowly missing out to Rodriguez.

Personally I thought her control, vision and left foot volley was much better than Rodriguez's effort.
telegraph.co.uk/spo…tml

Probably she didn't win, because there wasn't 50,000 people in the background cheering when she put it in the net. You can change that - go see women play football - the international teams are excellent.

Double check your school's calendar - my kids have a non pupil day that day add it's half term the following week (granted, School holidays very hugely place to place).

You're welcome

@Coachandy, there are some local roads but next door to the stadium is a massive Asda & I'm sure IKEA is close if not on the same estate. Plenty of Parking

I've hit a few worldies in my time too, unfortunately not on camera or in a match. this stuff happens all the time on Saturday and Sunday at amateur clubs.

Asda & Ikea both have staff on hand to dish out fines for football parking in their car-parks.
Less likely to happen with Ikea at night though seeing as the store is closed, whereas Asda is 24 hour.

Also - no Hope Solo in goal for USA as she's been given a 30 day suspension due to her various misdemeanours and indescretions.
