I have visited quite a few of these places and I think the value for money is exceptional. Ok, 3 months extra for free is not a huge saving but taken as a whole - I think it's a bargain and a great way to entertain the family.

Been a member of both EH and NT just a pity they do not get together and do a Joint Membership making it easier to visit all the properties they manage. We have Cragside down the road so NT suits us better. Okay deal thanks.
Whist this is a good deal if you work in the public services sector ie education NHS or other civil service role local council you can join the CSSC Sports and Leisure Club for £4 a month this includes access to English heritage, Scottish and Welsh Heritage and Royal Palaces for two adults and children.

Worth a look here.

Hi all, I read somewhere that the membership fee is also tax deductible. I am a higher rate tax payer, can someone please explain is this true ? And how much is the saving in tax bill ?
