I've tried a few and had issue with all of the third party ones (including the exact left stick issue with this model that someone else mentions on the thread here). Eventually I got sick of it and just bought an official Xbox One controller; but you can just stick a USB cable in it and connect it to your PC with no hassle. You don't then need to put batteries into it as it's powered from the USB connection.
I wonder how many people buy this thinking it's a first party controller.
The PDP £13.99 controller on Argos site looks better than this (orange /green choice) but stock levels poor although bagged one myself. Will do as a spare.

So they work with standard micro usb? I have an old Xbox 360 controller for my pc and want to get another for my son. See only wireless ones at CEX where we have some vouchers. But on xbox 360 you needed a fancy connection thing not a cheap cable

Yup! I actually used the cable from my crappy Power A controller (the aluminum one that's posted on this deal page). It swapped straight over the and the new official Xbone controller started working with my PC instantly; no batteries or wireless adaptors required.
