I remember the first time I saw Enterprise's £750 and thought "Wow that's cheap!" after coming from Hertz 24/7's car club who charged young people a whopping £1550 excess plus a £250 upfront deposit to use their cars or vans.Have you tried contacting Co-Wheels and requesting a car? They'd have to speak to the council to get parking spaces and permits unless a local residence or company with a good location can offer a parking space, but I've been speaking to their fleet guy recently and they just put in an order to Toyota and Renault for some more new cars. They have the availability so now is definitely the time to ask!Be warned - Co-Wheels cars do get a bit annoying as you can't keep the car key during the booking. You have to log in and out with the smart card to lock and unlock. Especially if you're like me and often running back and forth carrying heavy items into or out of the car.

Yep I left some suggested locations and my email address via their website. At the moment enterprise are the only car club operatives in Bradford, and even they have only 2 or 3 bays. Honestly I don't really need the service personally, was more for a younger newly passed sibling that wants to get on the road occasionally, thought this may be a great way to have a car occasionally without investing ridiculous money into owning their own

AVOID at all costs - they will try to fleece extra money from you. And certainly dont have a cigarette because they will charge you for valeting - when they valet all cars anyhow! The cheeky sods at preston will say to you to return the car empty as they charge less for fuel "because they buy so much" ! If you read the paperwork its actually 30 pence more per litre than at the pump! Yes they may be cheap when you take the car but they certainly aint cheap when you return it - save yourself a few quid!

Just a few questions regarding the pick up service. I booked a car for Saturday at 9:30 and then phoned the branch to ask them for a lift to the branch but they said they work on 9-12 on Saturdays and can't specify whether they can come get me before 9:30 or not and just repeated that they work a 3 hour window on that day. My questions are:1) I put on the booking form that I will be picking the car up at 9:30 but if I do not get the lift to the branch until 11:30, must I still return the car at 9:30?2) For future references, if I book a car with enterprise and need a lift to the branch, there is no way of telling what time they will come? For example, if I want to get a car at 9am, I shouldn't expect to be able to get the car at 9am if I want them to give me a lift to the branch?3) would they give me a lift back to my home after I return the car or would I have to wait an hour or two before I can get or ride back?

Hi Slash. The time that you'd have to return the car by is the time the contract is printed, regardless of what time you book the car for. They'll always give you a ride home. To be sure that you're not waiting, it's really helpful to the branch to give them a call before you set off so that they know to have someone available to give you a ride.

Saturdays can be difficult for branches as they operate on half of the staff (take it in turns on alternate weekends), and with only being open for 3 hours, it can tend to get a little busy. They should be able to give you a time window that they can pick you up.

You can get your own hire car excess insurance really cheap- like £8 a day from independent insurance companies. I always do this when hiring a car!

PS Most people do not have cars- e.g. a lot of people in London mostly use public transport and don't have car parking space!
Be careful, they are very pushy to sell you extra insurance and have a zero tolarance even on the tiniest scratch!!! They also use cheap car models, which some of them are awful to drive. Like a Matiz, Aveo.
My advice, check other companies first, there are always some offers out there.

Remeber my words! I travel a lot and have rented cars everywhere.
